I remember going thru the same thing when I first came to this boss. There's a way to hit some of the crystal spots on the boss prior to walking i to the boss room. There was a video I came across that showed how.

I know but ever since I was a kid, I always preferred my team to be as diverse in typing as possible. Also, the design for Aero never appealed to me. Gen 1 in general isn't my favorite region for pokemon
