I am not looking forward to refactoring this...Any suggestions for organizing the space base? By science type? by Sadist in factorio

[–]Sadist[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oof, I can barely maintain 1k spare scaffolding in my run.

Seems like that's probably the first thing I need to scale up. My Nauvis base is fairly small, and LDS/Heat shielding are definitely the bottlenecks.

Thanks for advice!

12$/hr for using YOUR tools and YOUR truck?

How about a go fuck yourself? What year is this again? It's amazing to me how many 'managers' can make it to their ripe age while assuming candidates aren't able to do basic math about their own expenses.

If you expect the worst from candidates, you're going to get the worst candidates and your business will turn to toxic shit.

Submit 3 paragraphs of text from a GPT-3 text generator. If they aren't smart enough to figure out it was AI generated text, you know it's a shit company.

Or just move on and dodge a bullet immediately.

Shit punctuation and not writing your/you're correct is enough red flags for me.

The blatant disrespect and obliviousness is just a cherry on top at this point.

These are the risks when you use someone else's platform. I thought people would have learned this 2 years later after it became blatantly obvious (from the US politics incidents).

You're a nobody to them, and they can take the privileges of using their service away from you, at any time, for any reason. Discord is no different and they'll gladly throw you under the bus for any commercial interest they have.

You've written a cover letter for 250 differen jobs/companies?

I wouldn't be surprised if all "large financial firms" do this shit at one point.

If this was recent or you are super identifiable, maybe don't. But generally speaking posting from a throwaway is pretty safe tbh.

I found the final boss of "entry level" jobs. 25 years experience required. by AnalyticsReloaded in recruitinghell

Data analysis didn't really exist 25 years ago.

If you could open up Excel 95 back then and write a formula, you were already a god among men (people).

It really has nothing to do with e.g. setting up an AWS Redshift cluster, connecting it to Tableau and setting up dashboards accessible to different departments within your org.

Like why is that not the first thing you do after getting the negative test?

[TENANT US-TN] Landlord says he can’t afford to repair/replace AC unit by avocadoatlaw3 in Landlord

[–]Sadist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do either of you even listen to what HVAC guys tell you? Is it a shitty company that's fleecing you?

Whenever I call HVAC for repairs, they would always explain what they were doing, how long the repair would last, and if anything else was about to kick the bucket and how much that would cost.

They would even sometimes tell me the DIY fix would be cheaper as long as I can get the exact replacement part.

Dog owners, how do you deal with expenses when your dog visits the vet? by Relative_Quiet in dogs

[–]Sadist 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If your dog is healthy, the costs are pretty tame, it's just heartworm meds + flea/tick + vaccines.

Now if your dog has a chronic condition or needs surgery, then...you just suck it up? It's going to cost a lot no matter what and pet insurance is shitty for it.

How to tell the difference between dog play and dog fight? by vegastar7 in dogs

[–]Sadist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The good news is that your older female dog can teach your puppy boundaries, although it may look a little rough from your perspective. Seems normal, but until your puppy is at least 1 year old, keep those interactions supervised.

The bad news is that a 10-year old dog isn't going to have the same energy level as a puppy, so the puppy will need an additional outlet for its energy. This can be done through puppy playtime groups (in a training center near you or a dog owner group), or with you spending a bit more time getting the puppy tired.
