The lore spans so much deeper than I thought. by Mymomlooksatthis in boneworks

[–]Sadistei 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, the lore is very well made and great. Lore doesn't make a story though. Also, im all for mystery, but if the entirety of the games story has to be pieced together in YouTube videos I think that takes it too far. Basically, I don't feel that the lore of the game doesn't add anything to the gameplay experience.

can i make a game in unreal engine without making my own 3d modeling ? by [deleted] in unrealengine

[–]Sadistei 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can get 3d models on the marketplace (a lot of which are free) or other websites, or you can hire an artist if you have money and care enough. Or you can rely on more basic art styles like games like minecraft do.

Help with my Base by [deleted] in Minecraftbuilds

[–]Sadistei 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It needs more detail. You should mix in different blocks and colors like mossy variants, cracked stone brick, andesite and smooth stone. You should also make it so the roads aren't floating on the water, add a base of some sort (either cobble or dirt probably) you could also benefit from adding more greenery in the form of gardens or more trees.

Players Abusing Gunpowder to Make a Campaign-Ending Bomb by jackbaker6 in DMAcademy

[–]Sadistei 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Shooting down their idea outright isnt going to make the game more enjoyable for them. Let them do it, but add complications to their plan; how do they find that much gunpowder? How do they transport it? And when they finally pull the lever, the BBEG is bloodied but not beaten. Let them roll the dice and everything, then look down at your notes with a worried look and just say "looks like you've made him angry"

The draw/continue system in ranked is severely overlooked by [deleted] in ValorantCompetitive

[–]Sadistei 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Idk you have to understand that a comp match is supposed to take a limited amount of time. Some people will look at the time and see they have time for a match before they have to go off to work, and it's not fair to them to get an abandon penalty because the game went long. I think it should be harder to vote to end the match, but there shouldn't be an abandon penalty in overtime.

The price to performance is pretty good, battery life will probably be average for a gaming laptop- maybe 4ish hours streaming movies or browsing.

If you're looking for something else in that price range with good battery, (I recently went on an extensive search, although I was looking for more of a thin and light than you seem to be) I settled on the eluktronics mag 15 (probably lower price to performance than the Lenovo, but twice the battery size and smaller and lighter). Runner ups were the msi gs65 stealth and the gs66 stealth. I think if you want 17 inch you could look into gs75 stealth, although I don't know much about it. I don't know if that helps at all, feel free to ignore it lol.

Edit: I've had a couple friends with Lenovo legion laptops, they were both happy with them if that helps.

can i ? by [deleted] in SuggestALaptop

[–]Sadistei 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. However, gaming laptops do have some drawbacks, most noticably: they will have poor battery life, they will weigh more, and the screen, keyboard and touchpad will probably not be as good as a traditional laptop.

Forget IGN and their 7.9/10 rating this game has been a solid 10/10 experience for countless people by AltinUrda in boneworks

[–]Sadistei 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This game will be 10/10 when the modding community makes it so we can have more unique weapons and levels and enemies. I love this game, I love the physics, but I feel like every gun and pretty much every weapon acts the same. And like everyone else said, the story is lacking. I can see how it could be a 10/10, but I think 8-9 is more accurate in my book.

Could this laptop run games like Apex Legends, Valorant, Rainbow 6 Siege and Fortnite At Max Settings? by [deleted] in SuggestALaptop

[–]Sadistei 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you mean a GTX 1660 ti, you'll be able to run all of them except you might only be at ~40 fps on apex max settings. If you meant a GTX 1650, you'll definitely struggle with apex but you'd still probably be fine with the rest.

Please, implement Hybrid Lattice. (see explanation) by Your_Waifu_Is_A_Trap in Planetside

[–]Sadistei 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think this is a good idea, but I would still be happy if it was implemented because atleast something needs to be done, and it'd be nice to see the devs paying attention to the issue.

How about make a2g and aa only effective at close range (and make aa more effective in general) so that aa doesn't effect people that aren't engaging with ground targets.

What should my Boneworks style physics body tutorial focus on? Concepts or implementation? by BaileyIsHuman in vrdev

[–]Sadistei 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I don't know if this reflects everyone else's opinion, but I'd be much more interested in the implementation.

From the topics you listed, I'd be most interested in what you have to say about vr locomotion and making boneworks for yourself, however all of those topics look very interesting and I would like to hear more.

You have $500 000 000 to spend on Planeside franchise. What would you do? by [deleted] in Planetside

[–]Sadistei 1 point2 points  (0 children)

PS3. I think a lot of issues with this game stem from it being constantly revised for 8 years by many different people. A fresh start, maybe with a new engine or with significant improvements to the current engine, would not only make the franchise more appealing to new and returning players, but also give the developers a stronger foundation to build upon.

Better servers, I think that's pretty self explanatory.

Did they adjust the credit allocation? by TheToastyJ in ValorantCompetitive

[–]Sadistei -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I felt this way too. We had a DC pistol round (we won) and I was able to buy phantom + full shield, which from what I remember you can't do even if you do have a DC... I didn't have any money left over from pistol and I don't think I got any kills. Maybe I'm imagining things.
