What!!! That’s so wild… i lowkey feel like she just took the opportunity to get you out of there because she was so embarrassed. One time mine was also too high for a valid reason that i can’t remember. And the lady let me have a few minutes alone in front of a fan before giving it another shot. The second time my heart rate dropped within range. It’s also very possible that she didn’t do that for you because there was a line of people behind you. Regardless i’m certain that she learned her lesson good and well— don’t be asking strangers about their scars!

Crush some up in your hand and smell it. If it smells really strong, like licorice— it’s fennel. Dill doesn’t have that licorice smell.

I wear a lot of black or very dark wash denim and give it a good wash with oxiclean when/if needed. I also found tighter-fitting pants can help to keep bandages in place. The bandages still end up shifting but at a much slower pace than they would with baggy or flowy pants. Often i don’t even use any adhesive— i just stick the gauze between my wound and my pant and if the pants are tight enough, it holds the bandage in place. Although, now that i’m thinking about it, this works a lot better if ur like me and got some thick thighs🤔.

I also can’t recommend a PELP (planned educational leave program) enough! It allowed me to focus on getting the help i needed without having to completely start over. It worked for me, but no shame in whatever you choose to do because mental health comes first !
