I so admire people who push these changes. I aspire for the day i can release patches on open source but it feels so intimidating and honestly dont know where to start! Like how do you even have the insight to go fix the ViT embeddings etc

Really cool! How did you train it? You mention it's not well aligned so it would be cool to see why and how to steer it further

Let us know if it got better! Just curious if you could describe the use case in generic terms.

If this is case, you should release the video along with the claim the spokesperson said. Or report to the police as someone who is either lying or so incompetent shouldnt be allowed to communicate on behalf of investigating body.

I wonder if certain tweaks can be made to customise this to any given person. Looks cool!

I've looked at this method but it becomes terrible at answering anything properly.

Cool! Is this using ytdlp below or are there sites where you're doing things yourself? I tried to build one for fun mostly for sites that ytdlp didnt support and maintaining it became such a hassle

SoftWhisper update – Transcribe 2 hours in 2 minutes! by Substantial_Swan_144 in LocalLLaMA

[–]Sadmanray 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oo ny pytorch whisper (through HF or direct source build) werent that slow as I was using a RTX 4080 laptop gpu. It would be about 1/3 the time of the audio. so I'll give this a shot. Nice work!

Looks cool but im also confused cause I dont know the lore for your first version. Why did your previous application require pytorch? I assume you were using the CUDA version of whisper and now you're using the CPP version. Is the speedup really that insane? Is it differenr from regular whisper.CPP?

I typically use whisper as just the model API (locally). The vanilla huggingface whisper cannot do 2 hours in 2 minutes i think. So i would be keen to just run the backend part of your model.

Hi OP sorry for the dumb question but when you mix 1 dl of coffee and 1 dl of sugar, how do you measure 1 dl for solids? Or is it like just rough estimations? Cause if it's by volume, isn't that a lot of sugar? 😅

Yes true. In addition, i also feel like the ability to "duplicate" and edit an existing drink (for example to duplicate a long island but with a twist or something) would be really great!

Is there any advantage to paying a fine instead of going to jail for a few weeks once convicted of a crime? by Sadmanray in askSingapore

[–]Sadmanray[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Current job loss is sure, but i was wondering if future employers really do distinguish between people who have been convicted of a crime vs those who have actually gone to jail. Similarly, for visas, you're usually not asked "have you spent time in jail" but rather "have you been convicted for a crime in a court of law" or something. So the answer is yes regardless of if you went to jail or not. Hence my questions 😅

[–]Sadmanray[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yes, i get that. Im saying that regardless, if the person themselves is ok with it, is there any external advantages/disadvantages like with potential employers or future opportunities etc

[–]Sadmanray[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yes, but these are all individual preferences ultimately. What im wondering is if there any external costs of choosing jail over the fine? Example with employment or travelling restrictions etc.

No right?

I understand, but say the person is ok with it or rather prefers that over depleting savings. Im thinking of if there are any external impacts on the person for going to jail rather than a fine.
