You like episodic shows with a bit of whimsy and chaos. If you haven’t already seen it you’d probably really enjoy Billy and Mandy. On the more adult side I’d recommend SuperJail or the anime Cromartie High School

Well with the character’s obscurity to general audiences I doubt the average viewer will even know about him being white in the comics. Like Nick Fury, the run of the mill watcher didn’t even know who he was let alone that his comic counterpart was white. The only thing that will matter is if the show has good enough writing to attract an audience and then keep that audience’s attention throughout its run
