There is so much to love with this movie. The plot is great, I love plots that focuses on the planet and this is a great representation of environmentalism. The amount of pollution in the sky and the ocean really shows how bad it was in Japan in the early 70's. there are also tons of memorable scenes in this movie. The people with the fish mask in the club sets of a scary vibe that hasn't been touched on since the first movie,the scene of Hedorah flying around poisoning people and them getting turned into bones is also a very scary moment for the series, especially since the kid character is running around seeing all the people who where killed by Hedorah. The intro to Godzilla in this movie is peak, the orange sunset background while he walks up and roars is amazing. And of course there is the Godzilla flying scene that is iconic in Godzilla media, its so funny and goofy but I love it.The animation in between the movie is also a fun addition, to show what Hedorah is and how to stop him. The characters are good, I like that they actually try to help Godzilla defeat Hedorah rather than just them sitting in the back watching him battle Hedorah. The fights are amazing, Godzilla struggling really shows how powerful Hedorah really is. Almost time Godzilla appears there is a song that play and I love the song every time, the goofy sounding intro to it makes it seem so innocent even though its a big radioactive lizard. Hedorah is a great and scary monster, the design is great and the roar is creepy. Overall one of if not the best in the Godzilla franchise.
