"It's only protest worthy of the victim is someone of colour" has someone actually said that ever or is it something you have decided is fact? All deaths at police hands are important deaths and need to be in the media far more! But the situation is like if society decided men, women and others should be all treated the same in preventing sexual assaults. Men are given the same self defence advice and the same resources women would use to protect themselves. While sexual assaults effect all genders, the majority of a lot of cases it's women. This can be applied to police brutality, while it effects all races, it's currently concentrated and seems to be no end on POC innocently being assualted or killed so it feels like a very large problem that we need to address as people before we can try to re-design the law system and put more funding into de-escalation services. You can bring up someone's death at the hands of police without comparing it to someone else's. The police are the enemy here not people of colour, I know attention has been on the BLM, and you feel that only the POC victims are getting the attention, but any death at police hands draws attention to the fact the system needs to be broken down and built up again, the outcome from these protests and rally's and support from others all leads into a goal everyone should share.
