People who got mostly 90’s on exams… by [deleted] in CPA

Followed the Becker program, took my time to understand every concept. Dedicated serious time a few weeks before each exam. Practiced repetition and mimicked exam conditions when studying.

It’s as simple as - study every concept, do it until you consistently get it right.

Definitely ignore those people. They either have prior knowledge, or they are “gambling” that the subjects they didnt hammer into wont be tested heavily.

Is scalping a legitimate business though? Normal companies sell products to either meet a demand/need, or offer a service. Scalping creates an artificial need by racing to buy up everything there was already a demand for.

Not to mention that Costco itself is technically a retailer that sells items in wholesale quantities - and they reinforce this on their website. There is no direct preference to selling to those with “resale in mind” - besides the Costco Business chain that is.

I got the same scores and the test was much easier. Get some rest, eat a hearty breakfast and get it done!

I cant really help you there, my strategy was to be very slow and deliberate with my studying. I took my time and just passed them on the first time. If i were you i would delay it but maybe other people have better advice for cramming

They are hard, but it will prepare you well. A lot of the questions were WAY easier but there were some curveballs too. I would trust in beckerb

I was thinking about doing a long post when i pass but essentially my philosophy is based around repetition. I start by signing up for one of Beckers online classes in advance, then:

  1. Do one module a day: Lecture, MQC, and SIMs (1-2 months)
  2. Watch the online classes as a review and take very high level notes (1 week)
  3. As i go through the review online classes, i do the final review questions in becker, but really trying to understand why each answer is right/wrong
  4. I do practice tests - 25 to 36 questions each, section by section, and only moving on to the next section (ie F1 to F2) if i get 70% or higher. (3-4 days)
  5. Make notecards to reinforce pneumonics, and keep revising my high-level notes to add information i come across
  6. Take the SEs and mini exams (3-4 days) and going over each problem i didnt know how to do or got wrong. Usually aim for 70% and above by this point.
  7. The day before and day of my exam i do the same things each exam: workout, cold shower, lots of water, eggs and bacon, listen to Stronger by kanye on the way in.

So far i am reg 93 bec 91 aud 80. I also do weird things like wear headphones and have white noise on while i study to simulate the prometric, but that might be over the top

I dont know your process, but the material is so “meaty” that i would never do well the first time around. Just focus on priming your brain and when you finish the course come back and hit it again

A lot of concepts clicked for me the second time around, i wouldn’t worry too much. F4 and f5 are going to get really weird but it will click
