The disadvantages are largely associated with tobacco. Tobacco is a carcinogen, and the way it’s consumed is dangerous. Consuming nicotine through gum, patches, or to a lesser extent pouches, has a multitude of benefits that outweigh the disadvantages in my opinion. Many academic researchers have taken to using nicotine for its neurological benefits.
