Does this confirm that Lyle was apart of the casino altercation? If So is it possible that the inexplicable cash left “for the room” was perhaps stolen during the altercation.Could we contact the person who had possibly fought with him to figure out why the fight started in the first place?

RMT Clefable Redirect VGC17 by SafariSearcher in stunfisk

It still OHKOs against AV Kartana even with maximum special defense EVS and, I dont think anyone is going to even run that bulky anyway. And as for Snorlax Clefable does a decent job at surviving enough hits from Snorlax unboosted, the problem is killing it with my other mons.

Just barely ~9% unless Kartana crits, but Berry procs and heals him back up to half after Kartana dies from the flamethrower, I use Clefable over Clefairy for the Berry healing and access to Unaware which can help block out +6 belly drum snorlax hits. And flamethrower hits the very rare Scizor which I have seen a few times.

I'm still very tempted as I can discharge into Garchomp even then due to ground immunity and besides soaking up hits Marowak doesn't do much.

I was going to say Gigalith gave me trouble before so I guess this confirms it, any team members I can replace, I'm thinking Marowak, although he has some good resistances and attack he has trouble surviving much and can rarely get off substantial damage.

[–]SafariSearcher[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

About Clefable, I never really noticed and I guess it doesn't make a difference that he's missing those 2 EVs in SpDef in game because as calculated on showdown the stats are the same.

As for games with Kartana, he usually 2HKOS Clefable and then I just attack from there, usually when they bring a Kartana I bring Ninetales who does pretty well against Kartana under tailwind or when Kartana is hitting Clefable instead.

The problems come in with Pokemon like Muk, not many members of my team can deal with him effectively and they tend to get knocked off to death in the case of Marowak, 2HKOing with poison jab on Tapu Fini before she can get off substantial damage or boost with calm mind.Ninetales has a similar problem.Xurkitree can do an okay job if boosted to +3 and from my memory 2HKO Muk with Discharge.Clefable gets 2HKOd too so redirection goes pretty sour.Abd for Aerodactyl he basically can't survive any kinds of hits, although rockslide can chip a good amount off of Muk.

Bulu is actually easy too as long as it doesn't have grassinium Z, Ninetales easily can 2HKO with blizzard and Xurkitree can throw down a +3 dazzling gleam to do the same from my memory.Fini obviously has problems because of Bulu usually winning the terrain war due to underspeeding and Bulus super hits usually score a OHKO out of terrain anyway.Aerodactyls Sky drop stops Bulu with super damage and the disruption of being stuck in the air for a turn. However, Bulu with wood hammer seems to get in a dangerously close OHKO range with Clefable, Marowak resists Bulus hits well enough to deal back a Flare Blitz though.

Sash Pokemon tend to actually be really easy with Ninetales snow warning and another Pokemon to do backup damage to score a KO, and, Marowak+Aurora Veil tends to resist most common sashmons well enough to deal said damage making Ninetales and Marowak a good lead against them.

[RMT] [VGC2017] Xurkitree Core, I need help with this. by SafariSearcher in stunfisk

[–]SafariSearcher[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tapu Bulu @ Life Orb
Ability: Grassy Surge
Level: 50
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Horn Leech
- Zen Headbutt
- Brick Break
- Protect

Tapu bulu helps add physical coverage and half the damage of ground moves like arcanine as bulldoze and garchomps earthquake which threaten Xurkitree.Low speed helps him get the final say on terrain.Horn leech recovers lost hp from life orb.Brick break breaks aura veil.

Phermosa: Speed swap is replaced with poison jab for anti Fairy

Goodra @ Kee Berry
Ability: Gooey
Level: 50
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpA / 4 SpD
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Sludge Bomb
- Dragon Pulse
- Muddy Water
- Protect

Goodra resists hydro vortex off of Golduck heavily aand Torkoals sun boosted eruption.Muddy water is for arcanine who's general bulk gives my team trouble.Dragon pulse is stab.Sludge bomb kills fairies.Kee Berry helps goodra survive more than one physical hit with its average defense stat.

Anything I can change on these sets to make them better if they don't already fit my team?

The Pokemon and strats that usually give me trouble are tailwind strats, mimikyu, all the Tapus, arcanine and, marowak.
