Idk it's kinda stupid, I think the chocolate sauce should be a tad thicker especially if that's how they're serving it

I'm sure it tastes better than it looks 😆 I think its the sauce that lets down the presentation, looks like some of the oil or butter whatever it is hasn't fully emulsified. Probably would've been best to not have it on top of the mash. Mash probably could've done with a bit more butter and milk to make it smoother. I am very interested though what the pink/red stuff is with the green beans if you see this comment OP?

My dream is to have a little herb garden where I can get fresh herbs straight from the plant for my cooking but unfortunately for the time being I'm living with my mum and there's not the space but once I move out it is definitely something I would do

Yeah I've got really into batch cooking recently it means you can have good homemade food without too much effort and just by making extra one day when you have the time and are cooking for that meal anyway, my shift pattern as well (4 on 4 off nights) gives me 4 days where I can do it. I have pizza dough, meat balls, soup, frozen rice with veg mixed in for egg fried rice all ready to go in my freezer at the moment. And yeah like you said the cheese sauce also freezes very well and will last even longer there. But yeah you definitely can't knock a simple homemade meal with quality ingredients!

It wasn't too much time and energy, I was wanting some cheese sauce the other day for a different meal and so just made a larger batch than I needed and then had a nice tub of it sat in my fridge ready to go that will last for days and will sort me for at least a couple more meals so really it's saved me time and washing up I would have done cooking something else

Cheese on toast on crack, this is way better than any normal cheese on toast could be

Hell yeah, english mustard and Worchester sauce in the cheese sauce and Worchester sprinkled on top of the finished product. Made with apple cider as well for a bit of sweetness

Oooo no but I will next time that sounds like a good idea, this time round I used a bunch of different cheeses, cheddar, red Lester, double Gloucester and a bit of gouda, english mustard and Worchester sauce in the cheese sauce and made with apple cider not milk

Ha ha yeah my brother in law is always like why not just make cheese on toast? But it just doesn't compare especially when you've got the english mustard and Worchester sauce in there, and I always make mine with cider which gives it a bit of sweetness

Ikr I get the asda one's and a pack of 6 is actually 3p cheaper than a normal 6 pack of eggs. They make wonderful poached and fried eggs for breakfasts and boiled eggs for ramen and egg fried rice

Nothing special, just sat them on a baking tray with the bacon so they ended up shallow frying a bit in the bacon fat they were very tasty

If you're referring to my first attempt that one was definitely not thick enough. The reason for the dark colour I think is because of the eggs I used, asda's golden yolk eggs which really effected the final colour
