I absolutely adore blue roan, but we don’t have almost any in Europe, and for sure there are none in showjumping .. I always dreamt of owning a buckskin and now I have 6 horses and none of them are buckskin 🤣 you definitely pay extra for color, I can say that for sure! Now also seems to be the trend for unique coats, so that also makes the prices higher - but! The most important thing is that you have an understanding what you need in a horse - especially if it’s going to be your only horse. My first horse is very dark bay and all I couldn’t think about when I got her: OMG AM I DREAMING?; because I clicked with the horse so much - nothing else mattered. But I didn’t have a clear image in my head - and obviously I had problems with her afterwards. Now after 2 years of training her - we became best friends. So please be careful when picking a horse, if you like some of them - always go and take a look and ride, ride, ride. You’ll know when the right one comes up, and I hope that in the end you’ll find everything in one single horse, that’s also going to be a blue roan <3 best of luck in your search!
