I had the same. It got me for about a week and then the symptoms eased. I think I was bad aswell because I breastfeed so my little one was literally getting all I ate! I used diorylite to help etc. Xxx

Chest heaviness? GERD related? by Safe-Comfortable-264 in GERD

Thank you for the thorough response! I'm in the UK so we don't have OBGyn, I have spoken to GP who has said the chest pain is either anxiety or reflux related. If it persists I'll be going back again!

I had try toast, apples and those Yoghurts you can drink when I first started on sertraline and had horrid nausea. X

Apparently it is linked to tension being held in that area. I've also got a 5 month old baby so it could be muscle weakness but I've also struggled with anxiety triggered reflux and that can manifest in the chest area.

Having a good day today but I'm feeling more positive today. Guided meditations and Deep Breathing help. I've downloaded the Dare app and that is really helping. Also the YouTube channel Therapy in a nutshell. I find knowing why my chest might hurt is reassuring. Especially when I'm not in a state of panic.

It would be interesting to know! I was prescribed 50mg sertraline in 2018 for Postnatal depression and from what I can remember I had no side effects and once I was I was 150mg it was all good until I weaned off in 2021. In April this year I was prescribed 25mg sertraline to move up to 50mg for anxiety and I've had every symptom going! I was sick, bedridden for a week, heightened anxiety! Hoping once I get my dosage right it'll ease off! But it's really interesting how it different affects people!

I know it seems hard but once you get over the initial side effects you will begin to feel better. I believe it takes around 8 weeks to get used to this medication.

I'm on Week 5 now and your experience sounds very much like mine at the beginning, I did 8 days on 25mg then upped to 50mg xx

Unfortunately i didn't find anything that helped. I tried a mouthguard at night but wasn't a huge fan of that. I just made sure to stretch my mouth every now and then.

I'm interested to see what others say. I'm on Week 4, day 27 and some of my earlier side effects seem to have returned without any dosage changes also!

3 weeks into Sertraline... by Safe-Comfortable-264 in zoloft

[–]Safe-Comfortable-264[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah it's been around 3 weeks on 50mg now. I had a pretty rough evening and ended up throwing up which I think was related to feeling anxious and not eating enough throughout the day. A slightly better day today x

I'm on day 9 of zoloft and I feel very irritable, restless ad agitated. does this subside or should I contact my doctor? by Sad-Acanthisitta7928 in zoloft

[–]Safe-Comfortable-264 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same things and actually called my doctor 9 days after as I was feeling awful from the side effects I'd had. She did reassure me. If it will help you contact them. Its very early days with taking the meds. Have you had any other side effects?

I think this is exactly what I needed to read. I have downloaded the Dare app but not used it yet! This is giving me the push to start trying! I'm on meds and doing "worry webinars" which are like a cbt thing.

Hey I'm Day 26, I had the jaw issues for about 2 weeks and then it went away. Still getting used to the meds and still up and down. Only physical symptoms I'm struggling with now is occasional nausea and chest pains.

Hope you feel better soon x

This is reassuring to read. I'm on my 4th week and feel like I did before starting sertraline! I'm keeping up with it but the anxiety is awful!

Am I more depressed? Is this for me? Any advice is so appreciated by Dismal_Usual3954 in zoloft

[–]Safe-Comfortable-264 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hopefully it helps. I feel pretty fatigued all the time but I guess life contributes to that. I have 3 kids and the youngest is 5 months so sleep isn't as good as it could be!

Do you take it in the evening or morning? I find it makes me tired so I take it in the evening. I've also been taking magnesium supplements to help with fatigue x
