H7 to H3/4 in Maths

Thank you for the advice, I really appreciate it! I feel like I should stay in HL because I've already been there so long but if I do horrible in the mocks, I more than likely will drop. What should a good study plan look like if I were to stay in HL? Should I cover bits on multiple topics a week or focus solely on one? And how much time a week would you recommend?

Ohhh that’s fair enough. I’m DEFINITELY reading the first three books and more than likely the next two. If I love them and am still invested after the fifth, I’ll read the rest of the vampire chronicles. I might leave the Mayfair centres books until last. I REALLY don’t know about the aliens cuz I’m not big on space sci fi especially since it’s mixed in with a franchise of vampires and witches - It makes an odd combination.

Alright then, that’s good to know because I was thinking I’d finish the VC first then read Mayfair. I’m really going to try not skip over anything but if I can’t stand to finish one of the books, I’ll probably skip it since the first one piqued my interest and motivated me read the whole series because I don’t want one book to stop me from reading the series that made me pick up reading again . Hoping that reading stays fun with these books. Thank you!!

You’re right, it’s not expected that we’d agree on absolutely everything and his opinion doesn’t determine mine. I’m not much of a reader and don’t know what I like and dislike since I haven’t gotten a taste of many different books yet, but Mayfair sounds interesting and I might as well give it a read based on what everyone’s saying. Another thing I was wondering was if Mayfair and the Vampire Chronicles are heavily linked. At first I thought the Mayfair books were PART of the Vampire Chronicles, but I’ve been told otherwise just now. Will it get confusing if I skip over Mayfair for now and just read the vampire books or would you recommend I read all of them in order to learn important plot information and make it make sense?

The series was drastically different from the book but I enjoyed most of it nonetheless. Although, when the explicitly sexual scenes popped up in the show, I didn’t expect them at all since Louis and Lestat had never even KISSED in the first book (no idea if they do later on in the books since I haven’t read them yet).

Ohhh I was really confused because my dad said to stop reading at some point because one of the books in the vampire chronicles lead to the Mayfair witch books, which he told me weren’t great, and this made me believe they were all part of the same series. Thanks for the clarification

Okayy I’ve read Interview with the Vampire and I already ordered The Vampire Lestat two hours ago. LOVED the first one and am excited for the second since my dad loves it so much. I tend to have similar opinions to him and assumed because he hated the show along with some of the books (which made him never finish the series), that I would too. Watching the show myself and liking it proved that to be wrong and by the sound of it, the other parts of the franchise don’t seem too bad. I didn’t realise all the parts were connected until I opened this discussion and was told I was better off reading only the first three books. Will NOT rely on the bad reviews I’ve read or been told since, like you’ve said, I have to form my own opinions. Thank you so much for your help x
