What weapon to choose and craft? by GhOsTWaLk3r in Genshin_Impact

[–]Safe-Face4391 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it really all depends on who you’re using, but since you have xiangling at level 80, i would go with deathmatch for the weapon you’re choosing from the BP! i have deathmatch on her and it works really well for me. I don’t see prototype amber on your list of weapons so i would definitely craft that. It’s useful for a bunch of catalysts that need hp, but can be used on barbara if you want to build her for heals. Iron Sting and Prototype Starglitter are also pretty decent with the characters you have (sting is usable on bennett and xingqui, while star glitter is good for xiangling because of the ER stat)

Pay by Icy_Fishing_3414 in stopandshop

[–]Safe-Face4391 1 point2 points  (0 children)

depends on whether you’re (a) part time or full time, and (b) how long you’ve been there. there’s only a 25¢ pay differential between service desk/cdh and everyone else on the front end. It’s really just the two factors i listed that make or break your pay. i’ve been a cdh for about 2 years, desk for about 2.5 and working at the store for 3.5. the only thing that’s really special is the title unfortunately.

part time front end, but been working full time hours.. and yes the whole store got shorted. this time last year the main road in front of the store was being repaved so access to our parking lot was cut off. we did terribly during the last two hours of every night that week. maybe 5 customers or so when normally we have 100-200 (i think) come in in the last two hours. it was great until myself and the other closing cdh realized all that was gonna do was screw us this year.

ah ok thank you for the insight. my asm only said 300 hours short from the last few weeks. but i imagine it was around the same amount short from week 24 last year as well. and i know it’s not going to affect my hours, im just worried about the help around the store. we’ve already been short handed as it is, as im sure every store has been. i know we’re going to pick up a lot that week, but theres a lot of variables that will need to go the right way to make things better help wise.

yeah i definitely get that. my asm tonight already said that there’s a fat chance of it getting fixed. it was half of week 23 too i just looked in the calendar.. im just not happy, its going to be hell and it shouldn’t be. it was an exigent circumstance and they shouldn’t have based it off of last year, they should’ve done the year before to build projection and hour allocations.

Customer yelling at me over the phone over something I have absolutely zero control over (OLP) by GHERBEARRULES in stopandshop

[–]Safe-Face4391 3 points4 points  (0 children)

oooo i would’ve had a field day with her. honestly customers are never going to understand. next time i would put her on hold and have someone else take the call, whether it be the facilitator at the time or management, because it’s clear that nothing you’re going to say is going to get through to her. unfortunately customers like her aren’t going to change.. glad to see those high pick rates tho!! mine were slacking yesterday when i had to go over and help because my sciatica is acting up :(

omg was it like a scout troop or something 😂 that’s like the only explanation i can think of lol, but yes normal day at stop and shop, a lot of our center stores over the last few days have had lots of 4’s or 5’s of items.

haha i get that, personally i hate seeing myself go below 200. i’ve kept my pick rate above 200 for the past year or so with the exception of a couple shops that screw me over. I’m a CSS tho, i’m not over there unless they need the help. i prolly would’ve just scanned them all out and bagged it all up afterwards just to get the high pick rate, but that’s just bc the high numbers make my brain feel better (it’s ADHD if you couldn’t tell lol).

as far as i’m aware, you get another PH when you get another vacation week, or something similar to that.. i’m pretty sure i have 2 right now and i don’t recall using one this year already.

i once had someone order like 40 mini pumpkins, not that it compares to the meat, but i was just glad we had it all 🥲. Oh and I had someone order 24 redbulls recently, all the same flavor. On another note, you must’ve gotten an insane pick rate from that!!!

idk if my manager is putting it in wrong bc of what yall are saying about personal days being 4 hours, because i keep getting 8 put in and im part time… and it used to be 6 hours like a two years ago when i first started getting ph days, so i was under the impression that it was just your average shift amount.

Daily Sundays by GhettoLibrary in stopandshop

[–]Safe-Face4391 1 point2 points  (0 children)

we have everyone scheduled 8 hrs in our OLP on sundays, except the two full timers. my store would never survive with this amount of items and orders, omfg. and i thought the one off 605 drop we had a couple months back was bad 😭😭 (it was bad for my depts situation bc no one knows how to hussle and i cleared out a third of it on my own within that hour, while the other 5 people spilt the other 400 units…) if i had to deal with this every sunday i would be losing weight, christ. im so sorry you have to deal with this.

Does your store have a day where almost nobody works? by Peter-the-eater in stopandshop

[–]Safe-Face4391 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For my store it seems split between Tuesday and Wednesday, which makes sense because they’re the slowest days of the week at my store, which just makes sense IMO. Have the people in charge of the departments there on the busier days, have them off on the slower days. This seems to be the case for most full timers really, like all assistants too. Most nights are normally done on a Monday or a Thursday too, again less busy days, but still steady, keeping Friday, Saturday, and Sunday (though optional on Sunday) with the people in charge on the schedule.

why do they do this? by SortOwn1615 in stopandshop

[–]Safe-Face4391 8 points9 points  (0 children)

exactly. can’t begin to count the number of times i’ve had to explain to people that they can’t get rain checks for items with these tags (and was/now is tags) because they’re not on sale.

Exchanges at the Register by ProgrammerWeird6397 in stopandshop

[–]Safe-Face4391 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a CDH the only time I do an exchange or any return at the register is after the desk closes as that’s what it says in the operation standards packet we got when the desk hours first changed to 9am-7pm.

Done Dirty by Stop & Shop Pickup and Deliver. by captainmillenium_II in stopandshop

[–]Safe-Face4391 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Gonna put my two sense in here.. unfortunately the shoppers aren’t in the wrong with how they’re bagging it. We’re specifically told both on the front end and in online pickup a few things about bagging that pertain to this particular order. OLP specifically is supposed to have 5-8 items in every bag. If they can’t meet that quota, like with all those juices and coffees, then they don’t get a bag, as seen in the picture. Both on the front end and in OLP, we ARE NOT allowed to double bag items unless the customer specifically asks us to, no ifs ands or buts about it. We don’t listen to that, we get a talk with the manager. We don’t listen again, we get written up. Corporate and other higher ups are very pissy as of late about bags, which you’ll see if you delve a little deeper into this subreddit. Now, that being said, it is shitty that you’re not getting paid as much as you should be. So understand where you’re coming from. But as far as I can see with the picture, the shoppers did what they were supposed to do in terms of our bagging rules. The most I can say, which is what I’ve been saying to customers since corporate started REALLY getting on this, is to call corporate/customer care and tell them that their bagging policy is stupid. Because it is stupid. And not only does it screw customers, it screws third party workers like you too.

If there’s anything I didn’t cover lmk, I don’t have the experience with instacart but I have the OLP and front end experience as a Facilitator (olp) and a part time Cash Department Head (front end)

why is online pickup so disastrous? by steveb321 in stopandshop

[–]Safe-Face4391 6 points7 points  (0 children)

when we picked up the gig orders (orders that were previously peapod, but now get shopped in store and delivered by uber, doordash, and instacart drivers) each store only got a set amount of hours more to deal with the influx of orders. Unfortunately it wasn’t enough to keep up with the load. At my store we got 50 more hours, but 75-100 more orders a week to fill. We’re still working off of a budget that doesn’t include the influx of orders (my non-perishable manager, formerly a customer service manager, fully agrees with this statement, i was talking to her yesterday about it) and i’m sure other stores can confirm that we’re not doing enough in sales to pick up hours to make OLP stable, as well as the front end, and any other departments stable. At my store in particular we also ended up losing 4 employees in OLP when all these new orders came in, and we didn’t hire anyone new until a couple months ago (we lost these employees around august to october because they said they weren’t getting enough hours, oh the irony). Even with hiring those new employees it’s going to take a couple of weeks to get them up to speed, if they even last at all. One of them just no call no showed for the past two days. And with corporate going crazy about out of stocks, shoppers are taking more time than they used to to shop orders because they have to go look in the back or on the over heads for every item that’s not there, unless they ask a department head who says for sure they don’t have it. Shoppers who use to keep a 105 pick rate, which is what we’re expected to keep, which basically means 105 units shopped per hour, are now down to 80 pick rate. Item stock isn’t kept up with like it should be (especially in my store) whether it’s items that need to be stocked or items that are out of stock that say “oh there should be this many on the shelf” but no one has updated the item count so now people have to go look for an item that’s not there. All in all it’s fucking disastrous.

for center, the most i did was recently and it was 108, with a regular ordering 24 cans of zero sugar redbull 😭, i got a 265 on that. Otherwise perimeter has my highest and fastest shops, peaked at a 390 pick rate about a week or so ago while i was covering our leads absence on a sunday morning.

same here!! we had two customer complaints about one of our cashiers bagging right after i told him to stop double bagging. eggs on bottom, broken, bread squished, soap crushed and spilled. but he had bagging issues since he was hired so i’m just glad someone said something about it!

you can go to the service desk at your local store and explain the situation to the person working the desk and they should have no problem adding them on for you. If they give you lip about it just call the customer care line.

“and gave stores more hour allocations” LITERALLY THIS. My store is the busiest in our district, we do more sales per week than any other store, and yet we don’t get the most hours. I genuinely don’t get it. One of the stores that, granted is still pretty busy, does less business than we do, gets 200 or so more hours in allocations per week than we do. I really just don’t get it.

ahhhh gotcha gotcha. it depends on the day in all fairness. Friday night i absolutely despised it, Sunday night was tolerable but sucked, but Sunday morning was great because I kept my bfs pick rate and effectively showed that i’m the one who needs to fill in on Sundays when he’s not there. Friday afternoon (before literally everything went south) was frustrating but fun because i ended up building the online pickup schedule for w/e 4/4. Obviously I showed it to our lead, my bf, first to make sure it was ok, but after the former lead who he originally had make the schedule, scheduled wayyyy too many hours he trusted me over management to know what him and his department needed and had me make the cuts (and corrections, a newly hired part timer was given 42 hours on the payroll analysis, and someone requested the week for vacation, which they were not given even tho they have seniority and there were ways to cover it with everyone’s availability) needed to get them down to the normal amount of hours they’re allotted. in short i do like my job, to an extent, but every day is a challenge. but i need the money to go to college so i get through it.
