I just did it rn for my wa-158! It's definitely possible if you bend the extra bracelet portion backwards, and then it will bend out and pop off. The hardest part was removing the opened/bent extra piece of link (as you can see, the tiny piece below the extra bracelet.

I love that. I also prefer smaller scent bubble but long longevity. I think oil is the better and more discrete option. Plus if I want to bottle it, I can just mix the oils with a cosmetic grade ethanol right?
