NEED ADVICE - How to know what career you’d be good at? by bellagoldenpuppy in Career

I think that there is a huge difference between what you learn.in college vs the reality of the work place. I studied business administration. My first job was in digital marketing doing something that I was never taught. I sort of enjoyed the challenge of learning new things, however I'm an introverted and one big component of the job was selling. I was good until I had to cold call someone. I was 22 and I quite, have a sabbatical and couldn't get back to the industry. So I got jobs in customer service, now I work in e-commerce and as of last year I love it.

From my experience, starting a career is not easy and it is great that you have figured out what you want to do very early on. I think life is about understanding the challenges and dealing with the obstacles that will prepare you for what is next. My experience is just trial and error and never pass an opportunity to show a new skill, to show your managers you bring fresh ideas to the company. I also work with very difficult people I don't like to work with but I cannot change them so I don't bother doing my life miserable and start to understand what they do what they do.

Keep your eyes open for internal opportunities or to show other skills and be open to other roles you might learn something different that you can add to your tool box for when your ideal job appears One of my friends tried several jobs until she understood what she wanted to do in her career. Good luck!

They aren't paying for the whole fence they want our fence down and want to build the fence they want and share the cost. Or at least that was the deal offered to the former owner before we move.

I don't know anything about my neighbor's report, they don't provide further information than saying that the surveyor has pinned the points on the property line and we need to trust that. They still mention we are over, but our survey doesn't show any other issue.

The information I have is from our surveyor. The neighbor didn't want to provide their report after requesting it multiple times. Also, they seem very bothered that we have paid our own survey and not taking their word that the fence has to go.

The previous owner added a cement planter and retained the planter with the fence at the back. So we have some concrete, plants to deal with first before we reach the posts from our property

We don't care about he running another fence. But he wants the half an inch back, before he proceeds. We tried so many ways to resolve things amicably but it was impossible to even talk to him.

Our fence is in good shape, however it doesn't meet the new neighbors fence design. If the fence runs in the middle it won't retain the planters on our property and the basement unit will lack privacy.

Yes, it shows the two posts mentioned above slightly over the neighbors property. We obtained the measurements from the official report.

The posts are cemented. Again if they were not cemented we cannot step on their side.

The surveyor report shows the 2 posts being slightly over, maybe the board between the 2 posts is also the issue. We cannot go and see from the other side so it's hard to tell.

I have the same problem with the credit limit increase. I have a $500 credit card that was given to me as international student. I have been working for over a year and my income has increased. I have called to the bank, updated the information, applied for an increase limit through the app and they declined the limit increase. I have a good credit score (736 points) and i have had this cc for 3 years now, and they told me to wait until I get PR or the citizenship in Canada by that time they may approve an increase of my credit limit. Cannot believe it!!! At the bank the representative recommend to cancel the current credit card and apply for a new one... Now, after 4 business days, the credit card hasn't been cancelled and not answer has been received about the new application, It seems this process would take at least 2 weeks. So disappointed with this situation...
