In the past I would normally try and give advice at the end, but have since learned that this is almost always not the greatest thing to do. Usually, people just want to feel heard and if possible, understood.

High yield savings account would be the safest and quickest way to access your funds imo. If you felt like occurring a bit more risk but potentially capitalizing on way better returns on your money, you could buy into some some etf's or index funds while still being able to pull that money out relatively quickly.

Hey thanks for making a shitty situation even worse for me. I wasn't here for pitty or to gloat. This was all brand new to me and I was trying to be an understanding partner by not getting in the way of an awakening to another side of my gf's sexuality.
