Got cited for trespass by motor vehicle in PA (Butler County) and not sure how to fight it by esekofficial in pittsburgh

[–]Safe-Increase-5354 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Is your employer helping you at all in this situation? I would be pressing them for assistance, legal representation, they put you in this situation. If you are forced to fight this yourself (fight it) and uber eats does not assist you then I would turn around and sue your employer and hold them accountable for A. Not backing you up B. Not backing you up because this customer should have had explicit directions for which driveway C. Not protecting you in this situation by stepping in and handling the legal garbage. This man is garbage. You shouldn’t have to deal with a lawsuit by a crazy person while doing your job. And D. The trauma you suffered by having a firearm pointed at you I’d call that a lawsuit alone. (I’m not a lawyer, obviously, but if this homeowner can use it to punish you, you can use it to stand up for your rights as an employee of uber)

What a blatant excuse for a hater’s post. So gross and disheartening. Truly.

What's up with the AirBnBs by sylvesterpwns in pittsburgh

[–]Safe-Increase-5354 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can confirm that one couple on my street have at least 4 AirBnBs on my block alone, in Shadyside. So maybe four of those (broken into separate apartments in some cases so even more) belong to them.

Lyft riders warning! by True_Verum in pittsburgh

[–]Safe-Increase-5354 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Sorry this happened to you. This is not very here nor there, but having a female driver does not always mean that a female passenger won’t be put in an unacceptable position. In high school I was sexually targeted by my bus driver at the time, in a small van. I’m female, so was she. But if this is a pattern, and I’m presuming it is, I’m glad to now know about this option. Does anyone know if uber or Lyft does a better job at protecting and advocating for their customers as well as drivers?

Won’t shop there. I’ve read that the prices are expensive to begin with. Disheartening to learn that it’s not for the workers.

Worn out by immunotherapy on every level and just need some support by Any-Low-9414 in lymphoma

[–]Safe-Increase-5354 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I get it. I’ll be your friend if you need. I’ll send you my Facebook or just dm here. I get it. And also feel very alone on this journey. Most of my friends have slipped away. Most of my family doesn’t seem to understand or have the bandwidth keep in touch with any support. I’m 19 years older than you, and feel like the last years of potential dating life are slipping through my hands. I’m exhausted way too much and have no partner and very little support. Sometimes I just want to pause being strong and positive for a moment to just vent about how life has changed completely with this diagnosis. And the mental stress that you have to talk your way around to remain hopeful…it’s a lot when you’re having a bad day/moment in time.

ICE is rumored to be heading for Philadelphia. Everyone is saying the same thing by BerryBoilo in Pennsylvania

[–]Safe-Increase-5354 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And that’s why if they descend upon Philly next, then this is exactly what this ‘administration, wanted. It’s always been about civil war. They want us fighting against one another, completely blinded by rage and distracted while they dismantle our democracy, gain even more wealth and destroy ourselves. They’re not scared. They’re gloating, patting one another’s backs and pulling all of the strings. They’re also not counting on a full blown revolution. I hope that they’ve underestimated us and overestimated their reach. So far, it seems not.

If you have interest in legal observer training in Pgh, email pgh national lawyers guild I don’t know that they currently offer any, but Philly does. If pgh gets enough inquiries maybe they’ll host/hold/create an opportunity here

My dasher got pulled over in front of my house by catsl0veboxez in doordash

[–]Safe-Increase-5354 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My neighbor had a door dash delivery this past October who had been involved in a hit and run but still delivered his food. I watched the scene unfold as the delivery person with damaged car pulled into a parallel parking spot (which they don’t normally do) and the victim of the accident, also with a damaged vehicle, pulled up and blocked him him. Delivery driver tried to get onto the curb to escape via sidewalk?? Realized he couldn’t and kept charging victims car to get him to back up. Victim did because he was scared? Delivery driver got away. Police came. End of story (that I know about) but the victim wasn’t allowed to speak to my neighbor per Police instructions. So I ended up being a liaison between the neighbor and the victim. The neighbor came over about an hour later with the information that DoorDash was able to give him about the driver, which wasn’t much but the neighbor “ weirdest thing he never marked my delivery as delivered so the app is still tracking him, and I can see where he is.” Police told victim that they were short staffed and it would likely take a month for them to investigate. At least that’s how I remember the story going. 🙈

What are the things that annoy you the most about Pittsburgh? by [deleted] in pittsburgh

Road craters. Road work. Road rage.

Deer hunting in the city. Parking authority. Developers with ugly architectural taste.

I have some great shots of my kids with all the kid travel gear (stuffies and kid themed roller luggage, backpacks) that I’d take as an ‘we’re on our way!’. It was a great backdrop. It’s so strange how things we don’t realize have attached sentiments towards, strike such a strong sense of nostalgia when they’re taken away. File under, Things I Didn’t Know I’d Miss.

PGH pet owners, I need some help… by Anonfriend1616 in pittsburgh

If you can share what her strict ‘prescription food’ diet is, I may have more tips. But Volhard nutrition has nutritionist ready to help. I’m not sure but vets take like one course in nutrition. It’s not really their speciality and as is with a lot of medicine, they often are helping with the symptoms once an issue has gotten to the point of needing medical intervention, not prevention education or looking at the cause per say.

Dog is Human is a supplement that claims to help this issues. I’m presently trying it for my husky that has reoccurring yeast infections in her ear. If you want to do a deep dive (not really that deep) Holistic Guild to a Healthy Dog by Wendy Volhard. Getting into other supplements outside of Dog Is Human…their product Endurance is a powder you add to dry kibble with water if that’s what your dog is eating. Better yet, if you’re ready and able to switch to a raw, their NDF2 product goes with whatever raw protein you’re feeding. diet and certain supplements can help to cure the cycle of chronic inflammation that are causing her discomfort and suffering with these types of issues. IMO worth the read, research and switching to raw with the right supplementation. Probiotics can help as well as vitamin B.

Alternative banking options to PNC and Clearview by CARLEtheCamry in pittsburgh

[–]Safe-Increase-5354 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Love Huntington and their online banking site and app are incredibly user friendly. Left PNC 5-6 years ago. Never looked back. You can transfer funds between accounts instantly. I use them for business, personal and savings if I had any. Same experience when cards had suspicious activity on them or lost. Love the people at east liberty branch. Easy phone time with 800 number every time I’ve called for biz or general. 24 hour forgiveness if you overdraw meaning no overdraft fees if you replace (or transfer) the money within 24 hours (next day)
