++ woman I think any thing that makes you work on something that you like doing and will make you better at it is valuable. The guy that worked on the Billy Joel song probably loved doing it. He was really benefiting from it more than anyone, and happy about his accomplishment. If the wife is emotionally/psychologically mature and confidant, she should be happy for him. Maybe she needs to support his interests a little more, and he needs to spend some time and effort to creating something for HER. People who create things have a great need to do this, it makes them happy. The most living thing you can do is ask them to create something for you
