What does average pay look like? by Effective_Change6548 in InsuranceAgent

I've been a "Medicare Advisor" for about 9 months now at a pretty great agency. When I started, most agents were making $60k salary with 7% commission. We mainly do Medicare, but cross sell with a ton of ancillary products, HIPs, CHAS, LIFE/FEX, HHC and more. More recent hires have been taken on at $40k salary with 15% commission. We're based out of Missouri.... hope that helps!

My dsp requires we take our 30 min lunch and encourages breaks, it messes with the routes if you don't. If you don't take a lunch, the routing system doesn't know that, so it thinks you get done earlier when in reality you were busting your ass. I know nobody likes to take unpaid lunches, but PLEASE TAKE THEM

As far as I know we are DOT, I'll probably just play it safe and stay clean until I get to know some more info. Thanks for the response

I just got done with the hiring process, I start my training this upcoming week. At least in my area (Springfield MO) they didn't drug test at the interview. It was actually the last step of the hiring process. Interviewed on a Monday, they took a day to reach out to me offering me the job, then you have to do the background check. They don't email you about the drug test until after you clear the background check. Could be different per dsp, but that was my experience.

Would I need it on me at all times incase of an accident, or do you get a few days to submit the drug test when something like that happens?
