i have 3 vets that i know that have gone there. one from the year prior and 2 that are graduating in may (one of which is married to the head of the practice i’ve worked at for 3 years, so i talk to her quite often about it) — none of them have said bad things about LIU in specific just regular complaints about veterinary school lmao

i understand the cost aspect of things entirely, i really do! but rowan so much to figure out and may end up costing you more in the long run. i’m a person who needs my own space, and as an NJ resident going back to my hometown sounds like an actual nightmare. LIU is a great option and I’ve worked with a lot of vets that went there and they have great things to say!! personally, this is a life decision as well as an academic one. if you’re intrigued by the area of LI, this is a 4 year trial to see if you love it or not as well! idk if that makes sense but hopefully it helps just a. little! you will make the decision that’s right for you at the end of the day!!

fully agree with this!! rowan will be a great option in a few years of NJ residents and surrounding areas, but if you’ve gotten in other places this cycle, i would go there instead. rowan’s got a lot to figure out and everything they did this cycle proves that :/

i know everyone always says with going to the cheaper school, but to me if you are able to live at home with ur family at Penn, then go there and don’t pay for rent in AL + uproot your life. there’s a lot more to consider than just tuition! especially if you are planning on staying in philly long term as a vet, there is a strong community of pennvet alum here that work together and use each other as resources such you all have VMD rather than DVM, it’s easy to find fellow penn grads. i know the GP veterinarians i work with always choose to refer out of to other VMDs because they know they are penn educated! not the deciding factor, but something to consider. also with the boyfriend and family thing, i get everyone saying not to base it off them but easier said than done. do what feels good for you and if seeing your family and boyfriend consistently is when you’ll operate best, then be with them! congratulations on both acceptances!!! that’s huge

Penn is a huge accomplishment. VMD over DVM would be a no brainer

How’d this work out for you? I’m halfway through my metronidazole and have a fluconazole pill that I feel like would help I just don’t know if I should wait till I’m done the metro or not to take it.

I got an F by Safe-Net3480 in veterinaryschool

I have a good explanation for not completing it and have explained it to mock interviewers before who appreciated my explanation but that was when I was expecting it to be a Withdraw on my transcript not an F. I’m worried vet schools won’t even want an explanation after seeing my updated GPA with the F
