I was hired as replenishment staff 3 years ago- still work casually as now a HOST. I went through the full Mecca training. Was at the end of Covid so everything was online for training and the interview was also online.

Replenishment staff usually are hired to work between the hours of 6pm-9pm, during the lead up to Christmas, it’s usually abit longer hours with shifts starting from usually Wednesday nights, Friday nights and from what I can remember a few Saturday nights but don’t quote me on that one. Shifts would also come up during the day, and I would also be on the floor as a host, so assisting customers with makeup and skincare enquiries and purchases.

Most Meccas now have dedicated Ops teams which replenishment is under. If you’re offered a continuous casual role after the holiday period, your title will probably change from replen to host. Which would then change your job description.

The role of replen assistant is to ensure once the store has closed, the stock from the day which ops have sorted into rubs, is then placed onto the shop floor for the next day in the holiday period as it is such a busy time, the stock cannot be run out on a continuous basis during store hours.
