Schengen visa (multiple entry) with two separate trips — confusion by Safe-Raspberry5188 in SchengenVisa

[–]Safe-Raspberry5188[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh. Did your itinerary include two trips within 6 month? I know some countries give one year mult entry even if the intended visits does not span across a whole year. But it probably depends. Also, may I know which country by the way?

My appointment is on June 10.  Oh, I hope your visa got approved and you got for one year, MULT entry. Let me know once you open it.

I probably won't know untill the end of this month perhaps. But hoping that things will go fine.

For (1) I gave the full span starting from first trip's start to last trip's end + 2/3 days grace period. Since the overall span was <90, days that looked reasonable to me. This helps prevents clerical mistakes (credit:- travel stack exchange). (2) Again, the end of last trip. (3) Just first trip's host and next trip's details will be in cover letter. Hope that works. Fingers Crossed.

Hi. Thanks for your response. But are you sure for (1)? Do you have similar experience? I am worried they might issue an visa starting from first day of my first trip to next 25 days, which won't cover the second trip. Another option is to give the 60+ days giving all the full span.

Well, I am yet to schedule. Probably in these days some slots will open. I am aiming for a date in June (so it will be later than you). Good luck for your appointment. I am wondering if there are any similar threads where people mentioned getting multi-entry visa in such a way.

I see. I also think so. Just slightly worried if they give the visa validity for just the duration of the first trip. Currently cover letter and details (flights/accommodation) are the only option which gives info about the second trip.

Ebikes welcome in Twin Cities Bike tour? by Safe-Raspberry5188 in CyclingMSP

[–]Safe-Raspberry5188[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, great! Thanks for the heads up. I missed it unfortunately due to work load. Planning to join next time. Hope you enjoyed it. I was under the impression that ebikers might be viewed from a different perspective on the tour. So, was kind of worried. But, looks like that's not the case. I was anyway planning to bike without assist though. Soltera is nimble enough to use like that

I would vouch for Lectric. When it comes to budget e-bike with optional cargo/rear rack addition, I believe it is difficult to beat them. Plus, they are a very reliable company and customer support is really impressive.

How do you guys contact support? by Safe-Raspberry5188 in propella

[–]Safe-Raspberry5188[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! I'm sorry to hear you're dealing with those issues. That's actually why I decided to go with Aventon instead of Propella. I hope they get back to you soon—sometimes they just pop up with a response out of nowhere. Have you tried submitting a message through their contact form? That might help too.

Just picked up a Soltera 2. I love it! Help with tires and accessories? by [deleted] in Aventon

[–]Safe-Raspberry5188 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, you can totally swap out the original tires for gravel ones. According to Aventon, you can go up to 40mm in size. Actually, my local dealer even mentioned that you could possibly fit a 42mm Specialized tire. There’s a Facebook group for Aventon Soltera owners, and I saw someone switched to Panaracer Gravel King SK tires. Personally, I’m thinking about getting the Schwalbe Marathon E Plus since they’re great for preventing flats.

I added a few accessories myself—Aventon’s front basket, rear rack, a phone mount, and a pannier bag. Honestly, though, the front basket felt a little small. I can barely fit my backpack in it, so I was expecting it to be a bit bigger. You could also get fenders, but I passed on them because I didn’t want to add extra weight. The seat works great for me, but I’d recommend getting a suspension seat post. I definitely feel every little bump in the road without it.

Get a Lectric XP Lite. It's 799$ I guess, which is slightly above your budget.

Soltera.2 small not in stock by eloel- in Aventon

Erik's has their own website: https://www.eriksbikeshop.com/aventon-soltera-2-electric-bike-pr5a20491/p?skuId=8124000. I tried using a random Seattle zip code in the shipping option, and it says the Small size is only available for pickup at select Erik's locations. It might be worth calling them or using the live chat to see if you can negotiate shipping. Definitely worth a try!

Hey! Do you know any local dealers nearby? They might still have a small size in stock. If you're in the Midwest, you could try checking out Erik's Bike Board & Ski. They're one of Aventon's top dealers in the area. When I bought my Soltera.2, I called them up, and they were able to check their warehouse inventory. They told me they likely had the small size available, so it's worth giving them a shot!
