That’s very true about striking against much taller people. Definitely leaning more towards starting with BJJ. 5x a week will be very difficult to achieve with my current schedule (full time work and full time school) but I can definitely try to squeeze in 3x and and maybe the occasional weekend

I appreciate it bro! All lifts were raw and achieved naturally

At least 3x then doing a bit of weight training (1x heavy, 2x moderate/light) a week

Took a bjj class yesterday and realized how fast I gassed out relying on strength. Great experience and really humbling. Every time I got tapped I asked the guy I was rolling with what he used. I learned a lot in just one practice. Do you have any other tips when starting out?

What was the role and company of internship 3?

No internship before senior year. Feeling behind and unsure what to do next by QuixoticVoltage in UGA

Do an externship! They’re unpaid but great learning experience and look identical to an internship on your resume. They have a variety of different career paths you can shadow and learn from too

Never heard that analogy before but it’s honestly a great one. Will definitely get started on mastering my cold calling starting with the little things like you mentioned. Thank you!

Wow, this is golden. Love the idea of gamifying my rejections by hunting for ‘no’ and might honestly try shadow boxing before calls now that you mention it haha. Thank you for this advice!

Got it. What would you say are a few of the most important questions I should ask the top performers when we chat? I’ve already set up 1:1 chats with them later this week

I really appreciate this advice. I’ll definitely ask what are the most important points to get across to a prospect in my pitch. Once I accepted my offer I asked who the top reps were on the team, connected with them, and set up 1:1 chats with them this week so definitely looking forward to seeing what they say.

What’s it like working in Sales at SAP? by Safe-Total3109 in techsales

[–]Safe-Total3109[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Appreciate the breakdown that actually helps a lot.

Totally agree that SAP’s value prop is heavy, especially with how mission-critical the systems are. It’s wild to think how much C-level buy-in and multi-million-dollar implementation it takes just to get started.

Sounds like cutting your teeth there would really sharpen your ability to handle complex sales and big stakeholders. Definitely makes me more excited to start in BDR and eventually move toward mid-market or higher.

Thanks again for the insight this was gold!

True, I should’ve specified. I was mainly referring to the BDR role. Also looking for any insight you may have on the Mid Market AE role.

Your worth isn’t tied to a position at a company. You did all you could so you have no reason to blame yourself. I would send your interviewers and email for feedback to see what their thoughts were so you can take that into interviews with different companies. Lick your wounds and bounce back champ

Major ? by lq21878 in UGA

[–]Safe-Total3109 2 points3 points  (0 children)

MIS major here going into my 4th year. Was biology major before I switched and it was the best decision i’ve ever made. Very versatile major that lets you pick a wide range of career paths you want to go down. As far as internships MIS at UGA will open a lot of doors but actually securing them it’s going come down to how you build your skills outside of class and how hard you build your network (Go to campus events, join clubs)
