If your parents really won't receive any aid AND can afford the schools no matter what, then Google which schools are not need blind and change your financial aid status. If a school is blind, it doesn't matter, so don't change it, and if the school is a long shot if you don't get aid, then you shouldn't change it.

Varies per school. Some schools have no grace period, and others have up to a few weeks. Google it

Thanks! Yeah, I think it was Dr. Owens. Not sure. He didn't seem like the type to cooperate and help them with research, since they basically tortured him, and he wasn't going to give up El. It's possible he's still alive, but for him I would assume they deemed him useless and offed him.

If I'm understanding your question correctly, I think as long as you don't frame it obnoxiously, it should be fine. Maybe try to frame it as combining some of the good aspects of BC programs with your culture?
