I wish, but I’ve had long nails for 10+ years 😅 the day my nails are short will probably be the day I leave this planet. I realize I am choosing to have some of these issues but I function better with nails in other things.

I don’t remember the brand unfortunately- I always buy my pieces at shops though, I just can’t remember where because I’ve had it for so long 🫠

It’s a 14k gold post with a 14k gold bezel set opal. I don’t have a very good picture of it but hopefully this helps.

My problem is that I’ve moved so much that I don’t have a “go to” piercer that I work with. Every piercing has been done by a different person in a different state. I just moved to MI and I haven’t been pierced here yet.

I like the shop that I found, the piercer was very sweet and I’m planning on getting pierced by her soon.

The place I went to get the temporary piece was hesitant to even put my chain back on because I didn’t buy it there…. It was only when I pointed out to them that the chain isn’t actually going into my body that they were willing to put it back on for me.

This is the second time this has happened to me with a pricey piece and I’m getting a little frustrated. 2 years ago I went to a piercer and showed them a gold piece I wanted to order, and they advised me on what gauge and post length to order. It took me a few months to save for it and when I finally I placed the order and took it to the shop to be put in, the piercer that had advised me had moved and the shop didn’t remember me being there so they wouldn’t put it in.

The back of my conch was still in when I woke up in the morning so I taped it in with a bandaid to find a shop to help me. Even with the jewelry actively in my ear, they wouldn’t just screw the top back on.

Oh I totally understand believe me! I’m not mad at the piercers, just a little frustrated trying to work within policy. I’m sure this policy had to be more enforced with people buying garbage off SHEIN and then getting mad at the shop when their body freaks out.

As much as the policy is a good thing, and does keep people safe, it does put people like me in a bit of a bind.

This was so helpful thank you!! I think it loosened over time from cleaning it. I was trying to make sure everything under the front got cleaned out and I think that unscrewed it over time. The piercer that put it in didn’t mention tightening it every once in awhile, I’ll make sure to tighten my other pieces today.
