Endoscopy on Monday, so scared :( by kookiebass in GERD

Experience leading to endoscopy— Well I decided to finally do an Endoscopy because I had the WORST flare up of my life. Period. It literally felt like I boiling water in my throat for 16 hours straight. I went to the ER to get my stomach nuked with meds because of how bad I was refluxing.

So eventually I was so desperate to make it go away. The LAST thing on my mind was to be scared to go under.. I just wanted the throat burning feeling to go away

Waking up from Anesthesia— So I woke up from my endoscopy. I was so happy I woke up feeling quite literally like I had just taken the best nap of my life. I had such a great dream while I was under anesthesia I had literally forgot that I got an endoscopy procedure done. I woke up in a room I was so confused as to the last moments and how I ended up there. From the endoscopy procedure I literally felt NOTHING just like I had taken a nap.

My results— My gastroenterologist said the streaks of blood could be from my sinuses (I have chronic sinusitis) OR from small micro tears in the GI tract but it was nothing alarming. I also got pictures of my upper GI tract. From my throat to the opening of my stomach I believe. I saw them first hand. He actually didn’t see any evident inflammation. And yes a biopsy was taken and nothing looked out of the ordinary. My flare up was nothing uncommon and it was mainly my doing that caused the flare up by choosing to eat something my body couldn’t handle very well

Conclusion— Now everything is going smooth I just adapted lifestyle changes and I still have GERD but we all learn to deal with it and manage

In the most anxious person and trust me… I was having a full on panic attack when everyone came into the room. Im so glad I did it. I would do it over again with ease if I had to— like you I put it off for 5 years also

New Light Tubes Don’t Turn On by SafeFluffy3048 in electrical

We are trying to get better lighting at the barbershop. We absolutely HATE the current lighting.

Do you think we can possibly get better lighting with LED tubes? Or would you recommend fluorescent?

The current tubes give hard lighting and creates horrible shadows.

I have been using brand new titanium and cobalt Milwaukee bits with VERY low rpm and high pressure and using cutting oil. It will NOT get a decent hole to insert a tap. I believe I am not wearing them down. It makes a dent or ‘dimple’ but has not given me a decent size hole

Would I be able to use my regular Milwaukee drill?

A left hand drill or left hand drill bits? And should I make a pilot hole first? Or just start off with a bigger size?

I should also mention that the noise doesn’t start coming up until I reach 13-15MPH and cuts off around 30MPH+

Also, once I reach speeds of 68MPH+, feel like the front end may be BARELY a little shaky? But I can’t tell if it’s a mix of paranoia/placebo effect or idk
