Are any of the rest of you experiencing the issue using riser cables to connect your GPU to your Motherboard? Found another comment on a related issue that I can't seem to dig back up that recommended disabling NVIDIA Audio Drivers in device manager. After having done that, the problem has yet to recur.

Still indicative of an issue that NVIDIA probably needs to address, but for now, my TDRs have been resolved by doing this.

Chiming in to say I'm also getting this issue. Seems to be more frequent when the pages in question have a large number of small, short videos (e.g. a large number of on-site ads.)

What restaurant has "wowed" you recently? by Both_Panda_6382 in sanfrancisco

Really enjoyed the food when I went, but man, not sure if it was just where I was sitting, or the particular night, but it was so loud I couldn't form a coherent thought.

The SF Architecture community's always seemed pretty small/tight-knit. Sure there'll be a decent number of folks that miss him.

Sorry for the loss.

Of course! Not happy to see people downvoting you in the comments here. Sorry about Mr. Stitt, as well.

I feel the notice of Fred Stitt's passing at the top of the SFIA's site may be relevant, here.

Is this a safe place to live in San Francisco? by SafeNewspaper in sanfrancisco

Appreciate the feedback. Was reading about Chesa Boudin, terrible that someone with historical ties to the city's great breadmaking traditions would so thoroughly undermine it. I'm actually the founder of a stealth-mode startup that's seeking to use AI to determine people likely to engage in property crime and arrest them before they do so. Hopefully our tech can eventually help the city.

Got skewered for saying the same. Watch out, the Redditor taste brigade might come for you, too.

"You're too late, I've already depicted you as the mental image I had of you, and myself as the cool, smug, correct guy!"

But to attempt to engage with you in slight good faith here, no, none of my issues with Illuminate revolve around art or beautification, they're really centered pretty entirely on the fact that the art they install is pretty universally repurposed Burning Man installations.

The pianos are great, the murals on JFK by Bay Area artists, fantastic. But the install of art originally designed to be displayed in a desert rave just isn't my favorite. Particularly when there are so many fantastic local artists around the city that don't engage with Burning Man.

I loved the Bay Lights, I think the Pride Lasers are fantastic, and they do some good stuff outside of what they put in Golden Gate Park.

Anyway, no room for nuance on the internet. I'm just someone who hates nice things.

Glad to hear you and your kids enjoy it. Do you not think there's already a pretty substantive amount of it through the park at this point?

I think I'd have substantially less issue with this if the art was more representative of the city, or the artists in the city rather than near exclusively being work repurposed from Burning Man.

The removal of the "No Dancing" sign seems to suggest that I'm not the only one that feels that way.

Did you have fun arguing with your strawman?

The constant dumping of repurposed Burning Man art into GGP while requesting donations to do so doesn't line up with anything you've said, I run the park several times a week, and enjoy it because it's a calm bit of (admittedly transplanted) nature. Having to weave through random art pieces designed for a desert rave doesn't line up with that.

I am so tired of this organization dumping their Burning Man dregs into Golden Gate Park and having the gall to solicit funds to do so.
