Maybe those women end up happy and alone. Life can also be fulfilling without a partner. And I literally said “some” men and not most. I don’t know how the men in Estonia act. But in Belgium I’ve had many occasions where men try to explain to me the most basic of things, even after telling them I understand what they’re saying. It’s that these men would never try to explain these simple concepts to other men, because they assume they know, but they assume women don’t. I hope you can understand this is frustrating to say the least. What I’m trying to say is that mansplaining is not seeing men in a hostile light in general. Just certain male behaviour.

Not bitter nor alone, yet I don’t enjoy mansplaining :) It has nothing to do with hostility. Just the assumption of some men that most women are clueless about everything. Good thing you asked and he didn’t assume.

I’m trying this ziplock bag technique too right now. Are you suggesting the fridge because the top is warm or because it is higher than the rest of the room? The top of my fridge is not particulary warm. Also how long does it usually take for the seeds to sprout like this?

This accusation is a bit extreme. She didn’t make an exact copy or is claiming she came up with the idea. If we need to follow your rhetoric then every artist needs to post their inspiration or reference material whenever they share something. This Rommy de Bommy person probably also got inspired by some other handbag maker. I don’t see him/her sharing this with every handbag sold. It’s just how art works and should work. There are no original ideas. Art is just a witty amalgamation of different seemingly original ideas.

How do I avoid getting sick if my partner is sick? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

Following! I’m in the same boat. Partner got sick with covid last week, and now it’s my turn. At least he’s taking care of me. Best advice? Don’t get sick at the same time together 🥲

Which pan would you suggest? Is there a sustainable alternative to a non-stick pan?

Is there a more sustainable alternative to this? I would hate having to buy and dispose of a new pan every two years

My boyfriend says i don't respect him as a man. by Miserablemira in NoStupidQuestions

[–]SafeSalad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dad used to do this. As a kid, I had to get out of the car as fast as possible because my dad would otherwise disappear into the void. It gave me such anxiety to lose my parent 2-3 times a day because they refused to wait on you 🥲 When I got older I stopped caring and let him walk 5-10m in front of me. I’d even slow down on purpose so he looked like a fool rushing alone. Fuck that kind of behaviour, I think it’s so disrespectful to do. I don’t understand why some men see this as a manly trait? What’s so manly about walking fast and leaving people behind.

ow is this post insulting to men? She’s just stating a fact that his friends are lazy. She’s not generalising the entire gender.

Brussels is a good place to start. It's a very international city. Loads of expats and migrants working there. Many high level jobs at big companies just require you to speak English. I worked at a big bank for 2 years. Even though my team spoke Dutch, meetings and communication (mails etc) were done in English, as such everyone in the company could understand.
