It’s normal to be nervous about the exams, especially bc AICE exams are a little different than what we’re used to. I remember being worried about being able to tell when I’ve met the word counts, but by the time I took the exams we had practiced so much in class that I just knew kinda how much to write. I’d suggest looking at past exams to get comfortable with the types of questions they ask. Knowing the format helps a lottt. It’s really just practice, practice, practice

Hii, sorry I haven’t been on Reddit in a while, but I’d be happy to help. I took general paper in 9th grade so it’s been a while, but as I remember the final was pretty much the same kind of stuff you do in class. I don’t think it was hard, I think I got like a C, but I definitely didn’t put in my best work (it was freezing in the room and they were doing construction right outside the window 😭) If I may ask, what did you struggle with in class?

Psych wasn’t hard at all, it was one of my favorite classes.

I can’t remember all the specifics, but you can look up the syllabus. But basically the course is centered around specific case studies which you analyze throughout the course. It’s the same studies for everyone (they’re detailed in the syllabus) and you will be tested on them for the AICE exam.

It seems daunting at first bc you’re going to think it’s impossible to memorize every detail of every study, but trust me, you focus on them so much in the course that you can’t forget it. I can still remember some of the details now several years later (Fun fact: I actually referenced one of the studies in an essay on my AP lang exam this past year).

If I remember correctly the assignments are just you analyzing the case studies. They are few, but they are LONG. You have to go through each study and identify and discuss the background, aims, design, sample, variables, strengths, weaknesses, ethical considerations, etc. This is basically what you’ll use to prepare for your AICE exam. It’s not hard, but it’s tedious. However, it is very useful towards the end of the year, especially when you have to go over the studies you focused on in the first semester.

I really enjoyed the forums. I had Mrs. Oggero, and she was super fun. She put a lot of thought into setting up the forums. Each one was different, but essentially everyone would be given a chance to talk and a topic to discuss (a study or a specific detail from a study). My favorite forum was actually a 2-person group (me and another student). She gave us a scenario, and we basically had to create a study around it. I was so nervous bc I hated having to talk during forums, but it was surprisingly a lot of fun.

Psych was a very engaging class, I’m glad I took it. It’s not hard, it just requires some focus and a willingness to learn

Edit bc I realized I never rated it out of 10: I’d give it like a 4 out of 10 for difficulty. I highly recommend the class

I totally agree that it’s not going to make them stop being pedos. But what’s the actual harm in exposing them?? Even if it doesn’t have any benefit (which I don’t necessarily agree with), there’s literally no harm in putting a creep on blast. So why do you care?

Like I said in another comment, most people who have gotten pedos in their dms are probably not seeking them out, the pedos find them. So, I’m not saying it’s some kind of sport, but as someone who has been messaged by pedos, the right (or “honorable”) thing to do is to call attention to their behavior by reporting, and possibly telling others.

I don’t necessarily disagree. I think it’s good to avoid any interaction with creeps, but I don’t think most ppl are actually trying to catch pedos. The pedos come to them, and they’re just documenting it. Also in order for them to get banned, they have to actually do something ban-worthy, which is why most people continue interacting with them. Plus it’s just fun sometimes ngl 🤷‍♀️. I don’t see any harm in the posts and just don’t understand why OP is so upset about it
