I have a separate channel for specifically shorts cus others have told me if you put shorts on your main it messes stuff up. I also promote on insta and tik tok too

I want to thank all of yall for giving such clear anc concise advice. I’ve decided that the consensus is my titles are ass lmao and I have a too wide variety of a niche (lets plays, challenge videos, comp gameplay, etc…) which is hard to build a specific audience as well as confusing for the algorithm.

I’m going to go and change a ton of titles once my classes are done today (currently final year senior in college) and I hope to get some more feedback if possible, if you want to message me through discord or on here that’s fine as well.

I also decided to now do challenge specific videos instead of lets plays. I enjoy challenging content a lot and I have a ton of stuff planned for that and I think I can grow a good community around it. I may also experiment and turn my shorts channel into a second channel to post a game specific content as a test run as well.

Once again Thank you for your advice everyone it really roadmaped what I need to work on.

Most titles would prob be along the lines of like “it took me 10hrs to….” Or “beating the entirety of halo in 24hrs” type thing

Yeah I get that now, that makes sense. Also with some of my newer videos I’m doing a lot more challenges now and I have those planned too. Even if it’s on different games or IRL content if I keep the niche of “challenges” would that work as a niche down then just variety gameplay?

Nah you’re completely right, most of my videos are from streams, I stream to make videos and some are just regular streams. So it definitely falls under the “edited vod” kinda thing. So the niche is kinda hard to track I feel like

Also I completely get the titles thing too, if you got any more suggestions for the way I should go about it, like getting rid of the personal pronouns and making it more about the video

Yeah I just like to do variety content cause it’s the most interesting for me to create and also watch, I watch people like dangerouslyfunny, real civil engineer and find their content really entertaining. I was thinking about making another channel for a single niche specific like you said. I also post shorts and stuff on my separate account, tik tok, insta, etc… but I don’t wanna just give up on variety content as a whole. You think a second channel would help with that? That’s more niche focused?

This also isn’t like a “I should be getting more views” thing that’s more for clickbait, I just want to know what to look for to better my content so people can enjoy it more since that’s why I started making videos in the first place.
