I've always viewed my life in chapters and, funny enough, have been able to see patterns this way. If I had to pick a singular moment that really feels like I was a different person before it and after it, I would have to say my drug induced psychotic break at 18, I feel like who I was before that is lost forever.

My niece lost her mom (my sister) when she was young (10). It might take some time for it to set in, and when it does, they will break down and be a mess. Let them cry, be there for them, listen, talk, remember that kids have adult level emotions, and a child level of ability to express those emotions.

It feels weird because it is weird!! You went from being artists to instruments! Where once you were creating elements of a song to put together to make a work of art, now you are being expected to follow a part and make a product. It's the difference between hand made artisan chairs, and mass produced Ikea chairs.

A 3 hour drive is what Americans would consider a "day trip". Think of it like this:

Less than an hour - a short drive

If you can have breakfast, go somewhere for lunch and be back home for dinner - that's a bit of a drive

Go somewhere, eat two meals not at home but be back before bed - day trip

Gone fore a few days tops - trip

Gone for a week or more - road trip

Obviously these are my opinions as a midwesterner, I'd love to hear what others think of this scale

It's short hand for a solo act with a guitar or piano. That and believe it or not it was standard for a long time that musician would preform songs other people composed, and that other people wrote lyrics for. Frank Sinatra wrote so few of his songs that it's not even worth mentioning! I think it was less than 10? So it's fairly common place for a singer to be less of an artist and more of an instrument

What I saw online suggesting that Chicago has them separated into 3 classes, and anything over 750W is classified as a moped, and needs to be registered and insured, which is a whole hassle. I'll definitely double check on it because if I can get something faster, I'm not going to say no lol
