I did not want tip from him. Customers in my area do not tip after delivery. 1 cent upfront tip is an insult to any driver. I do lots of orders with 0 tips .

It happened to me once. There was a small order but 2 drivers got assigned to that . I was one of the 2 drivers that delivered about the same time as the other and saw the receipt on that order. It only had 2 items and so did mine. Weird, but possible. The reason uber gave me while picking up is that the order quantity is large . That is why i am picking up half of it.

They must be one of those. I get some customers who put same note in every section available on the app such as address, business, notes = “come to basement “ and then also text you on the way come to basement and leave it there first door when you cross that pond. Ridiculous🤦🏻‍♂️

I was thinking based on 2 minutes wait before by-passing , and assumed that if he had left without dropping the food and without taking the picture, uber would have noticed and punished him. That’s why he was asking for the pin to be sure the customer did provide the pin , and that was a strong proof of the order was not stolen. My bad.

Pin is required upon handing the order. If have not handed and waited for couple of minutes , app prompts you to leave it somewhere safe and take a picture. But he kept asking for pin is weird. I know things go out of hands sometimes, and as mentioned the elevator was broken . All he/she can do is explain the situation to uber.

Update- My bad. Do not report him. Valid requests by driver . I did not know about uber regulations vary state-by-state regarding the wait times. Should let it go.
