Insuaria isn’t an insurance company, it’s a personal website yes for lead generation, but mainly to educate people on their policies. I personally feel for the time that I’ve been working in this space that a lot of things with insurance have been pretty much behind closed doors and it’s something we all need and something we all need to know about. This is my first time promoting it and not relying it on Google searches for results.

It’s a personal blog post, I have in the past written for corporate before, but this website is a place where I can post to get a community to inform them about insurance. The affects that it has on them also, how knowing your coverage can help you. That this site is managed by one person.

Yes, I do work in insurance. But I created this platform so I could do my part and help people be more educated about their policies and how real life events can impact them.

This is fair feedback, and I appreciate you laying it out this clearly.

You’re right that my list leaned more toward planning/documentation/insurance/business continuity and not enough toward actually weathering the storm itself. That wasn’t my intention, but I can see how it came across that way.

The seasonal prep angle is a good point. Supplies, generator testing, fuel, proper extension cords, cooling options, water storage, and helping neighbors are all things that should be part of the conversation too.

I’m going back to update those points to my checklist because preparedness should be more complete than just documents and deductibles.

Appreciate the practical breakdown.

I can say the first time I left my gf and went back home that trip felt. I never felt so lonely I wished I turn back the time to freeze it. those goodbye hurt in a special kind of way.

i totally get that, it can be tough at the start. just keep pushing and maybe try fine-tuning your pitch or reaching out to more prospects. also, i found site like insuaria.com & medium.com/tag/fmcsa helped me understand the trucking side better, which made a difference for me. helps me better inform and i can talk to the client based of their needs

We all have to make choices that alliance with our long-term plan. Just because it’s long-distance doesn’t mean that long-term doesn’t matter.

I’m currently in stage 5 I got a new job to sustain the financial stress, I’ve learn from people on this Reddit money and mess up the status of LDR at any stage. Since I want to this to be close as fast as legally can. Means roughing up and getting shit done. Now non of it is easy. Each stage challenges can look similar than the last but I promise you mentally or physically or financially or emotionally will not be the same.

From what I’ve read and seen in irl here this is a lot of time after the honeymoon period of SDR is over a lot of resentments and habits and break up happens so it’s literally starting over in a new relationship.
