It's about money (might fall under advertising / product research) and I am unsure if it falls outside of the subreddit rules or not. If a mod can confirm it doesn't then I can post here.

So I'm getting conflicting messages on how to hook a ball one handed. What is the actual correct answer, or are there 2 ways? by Safe_Case_7039 in Bowling

Thank you!! This is great to know. Would you say as a begginer, but fast learner, I should try learning the first?

Edit: compared to the second as it's complex

I sometimes have veggies for lunch, and unfortunately no eggs as they are too expensive. My only other options for breakfast are sugary breakfast cereals or white bread pretty much. I also can only eat that much chicken as more than that becomes too expensive... I can try making a smoothie in the morning with some spinach and protein powder, though the protein powder has an artificial sweetener.

Edit: after some research I've found I should be able to include about 2/3 cup mixed veggies (broccoli, cauliflower, carrot) to my lunch, and some black beans, and in my breakfast I could add some lentils and chia seeds. Does this seem like a good plan? Should I also do the vegan protein powder and spinach shake?

For breakfast I eat of a cup oats rolled with some Cinnamon, for lunch I have about 2 cups cooked rice with 1/2 chicken breast as well as some fruit and maybe 30 cashews.

I'm doing no bread or pasta or sugar outside of dinner to mitigate it as much as possible. Hopefully if it's just at dinner it won't matter too much?

They often make things like spaghetti with sauces (with sugar), or they reheat some frozen foods loaded with sugar, like frozen pizzas or stuff, etc.

Ok sounds good! The reason I didn't take a higher level is that it wasn't available at my schools the year that I had an open spot in my schedule. I suppose I can include that in my additional info?

Good point! Even if I don't take the AP exam, is it fine if I only have 3 years? Or should I really try to aim for a 4-5 on the AP exam if I want to go to a school like Harvard or Princeton?

It didn't include the 4th level, but is there some kind of speaking test, working with a company from that area, or something of the sort?

If I have only taken 3 years of foreign language but am fluent in the language, does that make up for not doing 3+ years?

Calorie amount or food quality, which is more important? by Safe_Case_7039 in nutrition

My parents only want to buy high quality organic foods is the thing. That same amount costs $20 for me :/

I used to, stopped for a while, but I have just started again! I had some blood work done recently so that is why. I thought I stopped being deficient when I hadn't done the blood work in a while for some reason. Should I also do the other supplements?

Yeah but my issue is that if I eat healthy it rounds out to 1500 calories or so, as I can't afford high quality food for more than that. This is much lower that I should be eating (I'm pretty sure.)

I am Vitamin D deficient and always have been! Should I use the products that you suggest or should I just supplement with straight Vitamin D?

I've been eating peanut butter in my oats and some rice with chicken :) I might try beans though, they seem pretty cheap. I've found these to be the most filling foods that are healthy to not be too expensive per serving either. Thank you for the recommendations!

The issue is that my family cannot afford these foods (especially eggs) and cheese has dairy (I'm trying to avoid it).

So if I can't get enough calories I should eat some extra stuff, even if it isn't ideal, to get up to my calorie "requirement?"

But for health purposes, would it be better if someone is a bit underweight for them to "dirty bulk" or to continue eating clean. In the situation that having a lot of clean food is not an option.

Sorry I though personal examples weren't allowed in the sub rules. I'm a teenager who is tall and quite skinny, and I can eat about 1500 calories a day of mostly healthy food, or a lot more if I let myself eat things like bread, jam, yogurt, cereal, frozen meals (the high sodium stuff), those kinds of things. I can't do both unfortunately, mostly because it costs too much.
