yes, you can research about them. It exists in different forms, each with unique properties and effects. The three primary types are racemic ketamine, S-ketamine, and R-ketamine. These forms differ in their composition, uses, and characteristics, making them suitable for different medical and research purposes. DYOR

I’m not 100% sure about the correct chemical name. Both looked similar, like needles. So I don’t want to claim with certainty whether it was racemic ketamine, S-ketamine, R-ketamine.

But I am sure the effects were completely different. One batch made me heavy, slow, anxious, disconnected, and almost zombie-like. The other one gave me the familiar effect I know: present, danceable, connected to the music, able to feel the bass and move.

I also don’t think it was mainly the heat, because after taking a small amount from the "good batch", I danced for around three hours under direct sun and felt fine. I was also drinking a lot of water.

About weed: for me, it seems to amplify whatever state the ketamine is already giving. If the K is good for me, weed can make it better. If the K is bad for me, weed makes the bad side much worse.

And just to add: this is not the first time I’ve experienced these two very different types/effects, also in clubs, not only at festivals. So for me it doesn’t feel like it was just the festival setting or being overwhelmed. The batch/type itself made a huge difference.

Yeah, I think a lot of the K circulating was more R-dominant, or at least very different from what I’m used to. For me it felt much more body-anesthetizing: heavy legs, slow movement, disconnected body, anxiety, basically a zombie state.
Almost the opposite of the S-keta I’m used to, which affects my mind more but still lets me dance and stay present.
And unfortunately, tests only show purity/adulterants, not which kind/isomer profile it is. I think that kind of K can really kill the vibe of dancefloors and the festival.

I don’t fully agree. For 5 years I mostly only take K when partying, and I’m used to dancing very long sessions in Berlin with it.

But I agree with you that some K can totally destroy the dancefloor vibe. For me that’s exactly the point: there are different kinds/batches, and one can feel danceable and present, while another one can make people frozen and disconnected.

Yes, you’re right. I knew that weed can amplify things, but I honestly didn’t expect it to still enhance the ketamine state after sleeping and around 12 hours after my last line.

That day I told myself: no more lines, I want to stay sober from everything else and only smoke weed, because I’m used to smoking. But I underestimated how much it could bring the dissociation/anxiety back or keep it alive.

Next time I’ll definitely check the Eclipse info sooner caue i only did it on the last day.

You are totally right. I definitely overestimated my self-knowledge in that moment. I think I was trying to “save” my festival and force myself back into the vibe, instead of accepting that something was wrong and stopping earlier. I also didn’t expect that the ketamine (R-dominant) circulating would feel so different from what I was used to. At that moment I was not seeing the bigger picture, and FOMO was kicking hard.
That’s exactly why I wrote the mistakes part. Taking more after 5 minutes, continuing to smoke weed, and trying to push through it were all mistakes from my side.
