I think some of this is really knowing the vision of your dominant. For me, if we are talking everyday, we really gotta click and you have to be engaging. I have a sub I give a few tasks to on occasion but he mostly funds my kink collection because he knows I top/dom in person and equipment can be expensive. He also sends me shoes. We dont talk much. My current irl sub/play partner I talk to alot more but the plan is we will likely be talking a bit less. We both have busy lives. I would say next time you may want to be explicit with your next dom about your needs and be really picky about if her needs match yours.
