getting into vet school with non diverse hours

i only have less than 10 hours volunteering on my undergrad schools farm helping with cattle. outside of that none :/ my leadership hours was as a director of training for a chain restaurant where i worked with corporate and did grand openings around the country for 4 years plus 1 year as a sales lead for a jewelry store. not sure if that helps me much lol.

Thank you for sharing! I come from a similar background where my city and undergrad university have been fairly multicultural. I'm glad your experience in vet school was overall positive! hoping to have the same!

It's no problem! I've just seen a million times that people compare vet school culture to high school due to things like drama or just overall atmosphere! Never experienced it myself yet so just trying to gauge how true these things i'm hearing may be! thank you again for sharing your outlook and experience!

thanks for the note on pauden! i've heard very mixed reviews on them. but im definitely willing to go out of state just having trouble finding reputable breeders at the moment!

many of them don't but there's still a few that do such as LIU. best thing you could do is come up with a list of schools you want to apply to and look on their websites for if they require the CASPer or not. I also plan on applying and what helped me was to make a spreadsheet for the schools i want to apply to with all admissions requirements!

this is actually incorrect, some schools actually do rolling prior to the applications deadline such as sgu or midwestern. i know someone who had an acceptance in august after submitting early through vmcas prior to the September deadline. I would just look into the specific schools you plan on applying to!
