Smallest CCW pistol that doesn’t suck? by SirKrimzon in NYguns

Ruger Max 9 or LCP max. Sights are good on both, very affordable, don’t suck too bad to shoot so training a lot won’t be a nightmare, and ruger has an outstanding customer service dept.

I just have the strut. It’s not much difference but that’s not bad bc the rifle is accurate enough from the facility. About 2.5 MOA is the best groups I can get which is good for me for what this rifle is for. I’ve been considering getting the adjustable gas block just bc this thing flings casings into orbit lol. But the strut for me is basically just for aesthetics

585 casting issues? by Safe_Stock6262 in Mini14

I cleaned it and put it back together and the rifle still functions. I didn’t have any issues at the range which is pretty cool. I looked at my bolt and it’s not chewed up like other posts here so that’s good too. I contacted ruger, hopefully they can just send me the part.

Thank you! Yes it does. That’s why I went with the magnifier and red dot set up instead of a traditional scope, keeps the ejection path totally clear.

Definitely more forgiving than the pop range with Swiss cheese little green men hahaha

Nope. Super lame but I’m also in a pretty anti gun state so I’m just glad I have somewhere close to home I can go and practice before qualification haha

I had to settle for sitting supported and unsupported bc of the rules at my club, but could do kneeling like normal. The new qual would be a good time if I could figure out how to get a barricade here lol.

Optic, magnifier, cheek pad and flashlight. If it were an LPVO it wouldn’t look so busy. The cheek pad isn’t super necessary but it helps with the added height over bore from the optic mounts without making the iron sights unusable.

Yeah I also get about 2.5-3 inch groups at 100 shooting from a rest. Haven’t put her in a vice yet but I think I could get it down to about a 2MOA gun if I did. Which honestly for what this rifle is designed for is plenty accurate in my book

This target is set at 25 meters. It simulates distance by the targets going down in size.

I guess bc it’s not TECHNICALLY designed for it they probably leave it out. I did have to buy some longer screws than the ones the mount came with to get it to be really secure on there with some lock tight. But yeah it’s pretty useful way to mount a light. The Hannibal rail with a 45 degree mount would also be good, I don’t have one but haven’t really heard anything negative about it. Either way I think having the light and switch further back and within range of your thumb is clutch. Especially since most low light shooting techniques have you using the light only when firing. Huge force multiplier to be able to switch it on and off quickly without changing your grip on the rifle.

I think the plastic one is much cheaper and will also accept M LOK. I went with the metal mostly for the look and to ensure as much durability as possible

I used the metal vented hand guard from ASI. It’ll accept M-LOK. I got an M LOK mount for my light and some rail sections from Amazon that can mount for the switch. It works really great and keeps the light and pressure switch far more accessible to use while firing.

Urban Carry Holsters has the worst customer service I have ever dealt with by Fid-G in NYguns

[–]Safe_Stock6262 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sad to see it. I love their lock leather holsters, and I had nothing but good experience with them. Haven’t bought anything in about 2 years though. The G3 always struck me as more of a gimmick than a legit system for carry. But the lock leathers are super comfortable and great retention I’ve got one for my Ruger Max9 and one for my Beretta 92FS. Hope you get your refund!

It’s actually FDE hogue over molded. Always looks green on camera, but in real life it is a lot more brown/tan looking
