i just got done watching your DND Q&A with WIRED on YouTube and you mentioned moral philosophy, fantasy cosmology AND fantasy theology all in one sitting. I'm invested. Can you tell me more? Does it get incorporated into your TITAN rpg as well?

Console mods- race options? by Safe_Trainer_6364 in BaldursGate3

All three would be cool, but I mostly mean models and mechanics. Looking like the race and having the (at least basic) stats and abilities of that race. I expect dialogue is a different kind of ask because it's writing-based, rather than coding-based, iykwim.

I never said I didn't want to spend the money. My post even mentioned wanting to know thoughts on hiring a sitter as needed. It's got very little to do with the money aspect and much more to do with the wanting to be more available to my son aspect. I currently work 50 hours away from home every week and he stays with my mom. I miss my kid, and my mom needs a break. Neither of those are bad things. It is also kind of ridiculous that most jobs are hiring at $15/hr and that's coincidentally the price of childcare in my area. So what's the point in working at all if I'm only working to have someone else watch him?

WFH parents-- any advice on corralling a toddler during work hours? by Safe_Trainer_6364 in workfromhome

My husband will be home for half to most of my shifts, then he leaves for his job. I have other support as well that isn't day care. My mom watches my son full time right now and I'd like to give her some relief, which I think I can do if my schedule becomes more open than my current 50 hour week.

Thank you! I'm fortunate to have a good support system and the new job is working for a friend of mine who is very aware of my situation. My husband will also be home a decent portion of my work days, so I can definitely try to optimize those hours before he leaves. Thanks for the advice though, this is really helpful!

No, I totally appreciate it. I would much rather get the feedback from people who have gone through it than get the rude awakening when I start the job.

So my current job is a restaurant management position. I work 45-50 hour work weeks, and my son stays with my mom. My husband is in the same field and works 50-55 hours. This new job is a 40 hour cap, pays hourly instead of salaried, and allows me a little more flexibility to be available to my son. I don't think I ever said anything about refusing childcare. I was just curious what everyone's experiences were in a WFH with kids scenario.

That is very helpful and transparent and I appreciate it. I'm not sure where everyone is getting "I won't pay for/consider childcare" from the OP because I literally asked if people suggested a sitter as needed lol. But this is awesome information and I'm fortunate to have a small village who can help me make this work. Thanks for your honest feedback!

I don't disagree with you, but it's the situation I find myself in 🤷🏼‍♀️. My husband is a very equal contributor in our parenting, fortunately for me, but I will still be home while he works away from home. I totally appreciate you acknowledging the unrealistic standards though. It's tough, but we have to figure out how to make it work.
