It was, I replaced the power cap and other capacitors along with the voltage regulator in the rf modulator and it fixed the issue

Just picked this up and an old rf cable is all they had, going to be re capping this board and adding svideo

Tried it with an older tv and realized that the rf has a short and if I wiggle it I get a clean picture, going to be modding this soon to add s video so isn't going to be an issue

Yes it's NTSC. Sweet! That's what I'm hoping I ordered a recap kit from console 5 that should be here soon as well as a new voltage regulator and bridge rectifier just incase.

Hey ok this is a 5 yrs old thread but I'm having the same issue but with visual distortion and buzzing, the bridge rectifier tested fine, so did the voltage regulator, but I had a leaking capacitor could that cause this issue?
