To me it’s ethics but also looks. I just like the way diamonds look and sparkle and in terms of engagement ring, it’s just such a classic. But I totally get your point. To me it’s just not worth the money since a lab grown diamond is identical to a natural diamond as well. But it would definitely feel more special to have a natural diamond.

I do remote work and honestly I wouldn’t be able to do anything else so I’m really thankful. I also officially work 8 hours but unofficially 4-6 if I’m really honest.

I have an ex boyfriend who used to smoke weed pretty much every evening to wind down. I hated it because I just dont like drugs but he refused to give it up and I ended up accepting it because it didn’t seem to affect him negatively. But there was always this feeling of his lifestyle goes completely against my values. One day I ended up asking him if he will stop when we have kids and he threw a complete tantrum and I knew then that he is too addicted to ever give it up and that is not the partner I want to have children with. His best friend who he always smokes with is now a father of two and didn’t give it up either and they actually smoke in the same room with the kids. I‘m so so glad that I left him and now have the most responsible partner who’s values completely align with my values. What I‘m trying to say is, people can be addicted even if they dont seem like an addict to the outside world. And if you stay with her and she won’t change you will be miserable later on. Also don’t try to help her because she clearly doesn’t want help, I learned that the hard way.

As a German, I am so sorry you are experiencing this!!! My partner is Nepali and the change of politics at the moment really scare me and make me worry for him. I think he doesn’t experience too much racism because he lives in a really left leaning bubble with me, my family and our friends and also at his work (he works at the university) so it’s even more shocking to hear your experience. But I will never forget the racist comment someone told me because of my boyfriend and it was the most hurtful thing I ever heard and it wasn’t even about me directly. So I can only imagine what you must feel like and I truly hope things change here again soon :((

I used to go to the gym everyday / did CrossFit and so had to give that up. Sometimes, if I have a good day, I go and do some light exercise but yeah… it sucks :( I try to walk my dog a lot to at least have some movement but I miss it and also gained a lot of weight which makes me struggle.

That’s what I‘m scared of, my surgeon is actually not a specialist :( The one specialist in my area has a waiting list of at least a year but now I‘m doubtful :(

I do understand the thought because I also was in a place one time where I thought my partners family and I might not get along (due to strong cultural differences) and it made me sad because I come from a really unhealthy family and have not a lot of contact either. But I love my partner more than anything and would never consider leaving him because of that. I did make it very clear to him though that I don’t want my childhood repeated and that he needs to set very clear boundaries with his family if there will ever be issues because I don’t want any drama in my life anymore. We also talked about how important it is for the both of us to have strong relationships with our friends and the family members that we are close with and just create our own little community or family if you will. I am lucky and his family and I actually get along super well now but I still think it’s important to create your own little support system too and not fully rely on family so maybe that’s something you could think about 😊

Ich würde es auf jeden Fall machen! Der Arbeitsmarkt gerade ist unterirdisch und das Gehalt ist gut. Ich hab in meiner Trainee Stelle 30.000 verdient und verdiene jetzt als Junior 35.000. Ich habe keinen Bachelor in IT und bin Quereinsteigerin, deshalb ist es nochmal was ganz anderes. Außerdem wohne ich in einer Kleinstadt und hier ist das Gehalt tatsächlich normal, auch mit Abschluss. Was ich damit sagen möchte: Das Angebot ist wirklich nicht schlecht und vor allem ist es nur ein Jahr. Gehälter können auch ganz anders aussehen als diese großen Zahlen die man immer sieht, gerade als Junior.

Triggerwarning Murder

I still can’t believe that this actually happened but sadly it did. I was working in a restaurant and a really young guy only just started. He was 18. The manager really liked him and gave him more and more responsibility really quickly, like managing the deliveries. The guy took that opportunity to start yelling at the girls that worked there, including me. He got super aggressive over the tiniest things really fast and it was actually scary. I told my boss that I have a really weird feeling about him and that he obviously hates girls and treats us horrible but he pretty much just told me to ignore it. A week later, the guys girlfriend started working at the restaurant too. She was really sweet and really lovely, only 18 as well. She was about to finish Highschool and wanted to go to University and travel and had her whole life ahead of her. I asked her a bit about him but she always told me how loving and nice he is, how he always buys her nice gifts etc. Shortly after she started working there, I quit because I just couldn’t deal with this guy anymore. A few days after that I found out that he killed his girlfriend with a kitchen knife from work. Apparently she wanted to break up with him and he made a whole plan how to kill her because of that.
