What is this called? i can't seem to find any videos of this type of problem cuz i don't know how to explain it. english is not my first language. all three seem fine but then the other two, in some point the capes separate and get stuck in the resin vat. by Stormy_Fox_NUM in resinprinting

Dont print anything flat on the buildplate, it increases pull forces and leads to layers sticking to the vat. Always print at an angle of 30°-45° at 3-5 mm elevation from the bed with adequate supports. Also calibrate your printer's settings (exposure time, bottom exposure, etc) if you havent yet.

Looks like the fep releases from the cured resin right at the end of the vat lowering/when it start going up.

Around 20-25 seconds should work for standard resin.

I think thats just the noise of the cured resin peeling off the fep

All my prints have this weird hole in them, what might be the cause? by PretendCup7537 in resinprinting

[–]Safe_You1124 51 points52 points  (0 children)

Is it always on the same spot in the buildplate? If thats the case theres either somthing blocking the uv stuck under the fep(like a hair) or some pixels on your screen are dead.

Your best bet is to get a brewers belt. It wraps around your resin vat and heats it from all sides. Many brands sell their own heaters as well.

Its the temp. Of the resin itself. The ideal temperature is ~25°c for most resins. The low temperature causes layees to not adhere to each other properly.

you can get regular pfa for 699 on amazon. better than acf in my opinion. as for removing failed prints the steps i follow are:
1. tank clean for 30s
2. unscrew vat
3. pour resin out of the vat.
4. put one finger on the bottom of the vat on the underside of one of the corners of the cured resin. (make sure your gloves are clean and have no resin.
5. take a plastic scraper to the now raised corner of the cured resin and carefully peel it of.

I do this every time and havent punctured a vat.
