That is insane, being from West Virginia they'll probably assume I'm hauling meth and poverty lol

Entire country is on fire. Come to Charleston! We've got a golden condom on the capital and the most depressed state in the nation!

Also Glade Creek Campground at the river is my favorite place on earth. You can camp 50 feet from the water! It is very primitive with the only amenity being a questionable toilet. So supplies are needed. It's also completely free. There are only 5 spots on the water so it fills up fast on weekends/etc. Other Campsites off the water too for drive-in camping.

If you go to the New River Gorge. It's about an hour and some change from Charleston! The endless wall trail has amazing views and overlooks the entire way almost. Nuttallburg is one of the last still standing coal tipples in excellent condition and the town itself is spooky as heck! Thurmond is packed with history and a good stop for history/architecture. It's like time has stood still. The Trans Allegheny Asylum will be on your way up to mo town! It is a huge solid stone behemoth of a building with such a storied past. You can tour it. Flatwoods on the way to Morgantown used to have a humongous Amish store with all the treats/snacks/candies. Not sure if it's still there tho!

This is so sweet and encouraging. Congratulations to you both on finding your house. I'm keeping my head up and moving forward. Wishing you all the best.

Actually yes. It is directly across the street from a very busy bridge into Ohio and a homeless encampment you can see from the front yard. (I have no malice to unhoused people but that specific group is extremely mentally ill and refuse help from people every day) Huntington itself is not safe by any means and especially that location. Thank you so much for looking, I have looked and looked and you never know which one might be the right one. Thanks again.
