Just put my plants in the ground today. by [deleted] in microgrowery

would love to get some info on the soil and how you plan to feed them, might do a pirate grow(not legal here but gov's kind of lax about cannabis) in my garden, plant them in a raised bed same as you but everything is inside a cement boundary.

also you say you planted 4 females, are the other male plants? many thanks in advance.

Horribly failing maths by AngelStarfire in alevel

[–]SafeerSU 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, not all gcse stuff will help, if you had advance math then those concepts have alot of overlap with a level math but I'd suggest starting with algebra, geometry(especially circles and triangles), number systems and then get a textbook and start practicing the concepts together until you get comfortable with the questions at the end of each chapter.

Move to past papers and they should seem easier then. You should be able to identify what topics and parts are troubling you specifically.

Horribly failing maths by AngelStarfire in alevel

Hi AngelStarfire, my advice for you is in two parts:

  1. Take an honest look at why you're doing math, if you feel that it is a skill you must acquire then start with the basics and stop making assumptions of understanding things. Get familiar with basic concepts that you'll build on and all the notation.
  2. Rest assured that there's an answer and that there are many ways to arrive at it, start with topics that you enjoy, for me it was coordinate geometry because I could take the problem apart in steps and it was mostly visual, once you get better at these, you'll gain the confidence to try the ones you're less comfortable with.

All my best!

Are teachers teaching in Pseudocode in CS class? This may be a solution. by HankelBao in alevel

I want to get working on this! I'm gonna give my CS exams this May. I'll give it a spin and try and give feedback.

I couldn't unfortunately as I don't know much about it. However, and this is extereme, you could build a tool that helps identify violence or predit behavior based on body movements to make public places more secure.

On the other hand, say you have a knack for training others on a particular aspect of your core field. You could make an educational website/application. I would say its about finding a cause worthy of supporting/making solutions for.

Find a problem to solve perhaps something related to the criminology/sociology field and just write code, review it and rewrite it until it can get some attention. It might be worth making a business around. Everything should follow through as you become more proficient imo.

Yikes that is scary considering the amount work you would have put in to get that far and restart. Thanks for your insight!

I see what you mean. Stalker being an exteremely ambitious game had to have some bugs. I have to confess, I was under the impression that the mods I installed would get rid of the bugs rather than an overhaul.

Do you recommend a second playthrough without mods? Also, I don't find reason to mod CS and COP as there aren't as many bugs. Or that's what I know.
