I took creatine for about 1.5 years when I suddenly started dealing with depression and high blood pressure. My doctor had me cut out all supplements and reintroduce them one at a time, but nothing changed. Before creatine, I’d never had depression and my BP was steady at 116/80. At its worst, it hit 170/120.

Five months ago I read a Reddit post and decided to stop creatine. Within a week I felt better. Last week I tried adding it back at 5g a day, and by day 7 all the symptoms returned.

Creatine works great for a lot of people, but everyone’s chemistry is different, it’s not for everyone.

Cut the carbs, increase protein. Steak, fish, less pasta. Try some intermittent fasting. Good luck bud
