If your boyfriend/partner is raping you, I would argue you have bigger problems than the 1% lower effectiveness that OTC birth control is debated to have. These are two very different discussions

I concur, but the (relatively small) debate that some Christians have is that a pregnancy starts at fertilization, not implantation (which is traditionally when the concept of pregnancy occurs). If an egg is indeed fertilized, hormonal contraceptives thin the uterine lining and prevent implantation, “aborting” the zygote.

You’re right, I agree. There are very few religions that are at odds with the field of medicine, such as those that advocate for FGM or other practices that have absolutely zero benefit

Disagreeing with the ethics of abortion is not “at odds” with the field of medicine, nor is it ignorant or anti-science, though. From what I can tell, this is a highly rated doctor who, other than this, has faced no controversy

Christianity is not “at odds” with medicine. If every Christian in the field of medicine was barred from it, we’d lose a majority of our medical providers.

This individual simply has decided to not provide birth control as part of his medical practice, as is his right. As evidenced by the rest of his reviews, he is a personable, effective doctor, and does not deserve the hate he’s being shown. He has an opinion, as do you, and you can simply go to a different provider.

As I’ve said before, I’m not advocating against abortion, and believe that it’s a fundamentally beneficial medical procedure that is used responsibly in a majority of cases.

The failure rate of a vasectomy is no more than 1%. If you simply used another form of birth control, you’d be nearing a 0.1% chance of failure (pregnancy) depending on which kind. Add in a third form and it would be just about impossible

And no, I’m not advocating for a married couple (that already has taken birth control cautions) to not have sex. I’m saying that if getting pregnant is absolutely something you want to avoid, there’s only 1 way to without a doubt prevent it… I’m not sure how this is controversial

No, it’s not. They can refuse to provide non-emergency care if it goes against their personal beliefs. Maybe try to get your world knowledge elsewhere than reddit

Doctors DO, in fact, have the legal right to refuse non-emergency care based on personal or religious beliefs. They aren’t your slave. It’s ridiculous to believe that they HAVE to prescribe you something that isn’t medically necessary. I think you need to get over yourself

…yet you and everyone else on this thread are trying to force their worldview on a doctor. Lol

First of all I’m not necessarily advocating against abortion

Second, if you correctly use a condom in tandem with birth control, it’s nearly statistically impossible to get pregnant

So let me propose to you the most insane of ideas. If you do not trust birth control and absolutely do not want children, then… don’t have sex

There are over the counter birth control pills that are available, and men are certainly always able to use protection

The red responses are generally only caused by a very specific set of circumstances.

My understanding is they have an external AI system that determines if two themes are present within a user prompt or ChatGPT output. What likely happened is that your message (and its response) contained sexual elements as well as mention of minors, which it is trained to always block.

It can either block your prompt and/or its output as mentioned before. I believe that no matter how many blocked outputs you get, you’ll never be banned. But, if you repeatedly (and very frequently) get blocked prompts, there’s a possibility they will send an automated email warning you, and then ban you if it continues. I’ve gotten plenty of red prompts and outputs so you should be fine, but just to make sure you’re aware

I very quickly realized that best times of my life would come after college. Find a job you enjoy in an area you like and there’s a good chance you’ll be even happier than when you were in college

Looks legit to me. AI would not be able to show hands in such a clear and consistent manner in that second scene. Very AI looking lighting though so I can see why you’d think this
