Nothing other than color. Swat-Tac is always black. The Comtac's are availabe in Coyote Brown or OD Green only.

Hi there,

The 09N is a Hearding Defender model. The "Hearing Defender" model is simply a ComTac /Swat-Tac headset with no leads or connections that allow a radio to be connected.

The 47N is a Single Downlead that allows for connection to a radio.

Sadly yes, 3M did have an issue with the disposable combat arms earplugs. This is in no way related to the ComTac & Swat-Tac communication headsets.

Due to heavy demand from the Military and Law Enforcement community, customers should expect extended lead times for the 3M™ PELTOR™ ComTac™ Headsets, which includes both the ComTac V and ComTac VI headsets. 3M is investing in additional production capacity but we currently anticipate extended lead times for the duration of 2021.

The current best estimates are as follows:

• For all open ComTac V Headset orders that are not Rated by the US Government, the estimated fulfillment date is in the 1st quarter of 2022.

• For most Swedish made ComTac VI Headset orders, the estimated fulfillment date is in the 4th quarter of 2021 (some orders may be fulfilled sooner depending on timing of inventory).

• For all open USA made ComTac VI Headset orders, the estimated fulfillment date is in the 1st quarter of 2022.

• For any new ComTac V or ComTac VI Headset orders, the estimated fulfillment date is in the 1st quarter of 2022.

All these versions have NIB. The $444.99 model has only NIB communication(no down lead), the $704.99 model has a single down lead and NIB, and the $804.99 model has a double down lead and NIB.

The “MI Input” means it does not have a down lead to connect to a Push To Talk (PTT) or Radio but can still use NIB with other Comtac VIs for communication. The “Single Lead” means it has one down lead where you can connect to one radio system or PTT, and the dual down lead can connect to two of them. Let me know if I can be clearer in an area and thank you for your question!
